I want to bring this back up. My whine that was insane that I talked about before was due to the bearing on the main pinion slipping loose and rattling

I want to bring this back up. My whine that was insane that I talked about before was due to the bearing on the main pinion slipping loose and rattling around. Apparently it is a rare occurrence by a defective bearing. Idk if that is the mechanic just covering his *** or not. But whatever I had to order a new bearing and install kit and have the job redone. Everything is good now and the whine from the bushing is barely anything. I only get a whine around 40-50 mph and again at 60mph. I like the noise though and it does add character to the car. All in all I am happy with the bushings now
