Do you have to use a heat source on the locktite nut? Other DIYs for this rear brake light mention a blow torch to melt it, while in this one

Do you have to use a heat source on the locktite nut? Other DIYs for this rear brake light mention a blow torch to melt it, while in this one you didnt use it. Do you just have to be careful and slow or do you HAVE TO use a heat source?
