So,
I have an extra set of lights i use to test ideas out on. Not sure if I saw this already or not. I did this with my turn signal to get crisp bright Demon Eye effect. So i did the same thing with the projector just to see what would happen. WTF am i talking about? Well i had an extra set of 40mm halos from TRS. So i pulled apart the projector and place the halo behind the leans and this is what it looked like.

Only had White 40mm, would be awesome with 40mm RGB color changing set. Took the lens out and glued it in 2 spots just to test out what it would look like.

Wow, looks like an inner halo inside the lens. Not bad! So I flipped it over with back of halo glued to lens so the light would reflect off the housing.

I like it, very strong demon eye, stronger than doing strips (image below) I think I will do this with RGB with color changing remote. So i can do this with the inside of the turn signal and the projecter and have strong Demon Eye Effect. Hope this helps.

Rep if you like - Thanks

I'm confused. All of the videos you showed wiring them up to the circuit board and leaving them inside the actual headlight but in the thread you wrote to wire them outside of the headlight incase you run into problems and it's a lot easier to fix. Are the video's your newer procedure?

If you are wiring to the turn signal switch, best and cleanest way is to wire them to the circuit board. Some people who use white halos do this to use as daytime driving light.

If you have colors halo's or LEDs you can drive with them on day or night. So most people will wire them to a external (outside the light) ground and power source so they can put them on a switch inside the car or engine bay. Guy's that do a lot of shows or cars for coffee, were there parked.

Hope this helps

Oh okay thanks! Your videos helped a lot just scared to crack them open. I know the wiring and painting is easy for me but one broken headlight = $$$ that I could've spent getting them done haha

Let it warm up for 10 to 15 min in the box with heat gun and they will separate easily. If you crack on PM me.

Sometimes it switches back to white immediately, other times there is a delay, and sometimes no lights at all. Not very happy with this product at the moment. Calling the company to see what they say.

Any luck getting a response from them. I like the look but your right about the switchback. Over time it seems to be getting worse on mine.

I would recommend against this mod until we find solution to the switching.

I spoke with DatsunFTW this morning. He is using a LED Turn signal bulb and the switch doesn't seem to work correctly. I am using stock light bulb and it works. But starting to stick on one or the other color. Hard to see all this when your driving.

Like Nut_N_Much said, the amber strip of the assembly is a bit buggy. I tried it out on my own Z to make sure everything worked and the amber was the only light lighting up with the turn signal. and this was with an LED turn signal bulb. When I put in the factory bulb, the flashing was not synchronized.

So as a way around it, I told my friend I would only leave the white strip wired in and leave the amber alone.

Unless we hear something new from the company, I wouldn't trust the amber just yet.

But I really like the way these turned out. I am tempted to try the same on my Z but I have a whole big project for my own that will involve some "reshaping" of the housing with some nice 3D printing involved

No need for the clear lenses anymore unless you like the look.

Thanks for the reply!!
If I decided to go with the clear lenses where would I go for them? are the clear lens brighter or reduces the brightness(I perfer brighter). If I purchase the halos(pic below) including the color changing remote would it be a plug and play type deal or would I have to tinker with it? And I'm assuming the control module will have to be outside the lens right?
I'm asking a few questions since I don't want to mess this up.
I'll rep u up when I figure how to do so.
Thank you tons!
