That's where I bought my car from. This is my first time dealing with the service department (I do my own maintenance) but they were a nice dealership to deal with.

Got my car back this past week. Originally they told me the part was on back order and that I wouldn't get my car back until the end of the month, but I'm not complaining.

As for the Autobarn, I would give the service department 9/10. Everyone I spoke with was helpful, polite, and professional. They got the tow truck out to me, the car in the shop, and fixed the issue in a timely manner without any BS that you can get from some dealers.

My only complaint, and why I gave them a 9 and not a 10, is that when I originally spoke with them on the phone to have my car brought in they assured me that they would keep me up to date on the car as it spent it's time at the dealership. They said they would call to let me know when it had gotten there, when they started looking at it, when they found the problem, and when they got it fixed.

I had to call them to find out that it had actually arrived and to find out they had started inspecting it, but after I reminded them that they had promised to keep me up to date they were very apologetic and did a much better job of keeping me in the loop.

It's wasn't a huge deal, but no one wants to be kept in the dark waiting and wondering whether their 40K paper weight has be turned back into a car. My biggest gripe was just that they told me they were going to do something and they weren't doing it.

That aside, they were a great shop to work with and I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needed to get some warranty work done.

Mine's been down since the 27th. Every time my phone rings I hope it's Autobarn Nissan, but so far the only time I've heard anything about my car is when I've called them and asked for an update.

I was talking to the dealer we use at my shop to get the "D" revised lock and now he is telling me Nissan has put that part on a restricted order list now you need name, vin, year make and model of car,he said that when this happens a recall is not to far behind.

I will let you know if I hear any more news.

thanks! i would be very happy if i can get my RevB replaced with a RevD. i would continue on with my RevC in the car until the day it dies and keep RevD in the trunk.

im not 100% convinced RevD is our total solution. but atleast we would have the latest and greatest. only time will tell how RevC and D does i guess.

OK Kenchan this for you

The low down that I got from my Nissan guy is that unofficially Nissan has placed these steering locks on restricted order to hold on to the remaining number they have and are waiting for yours to fail then you take it to the dealer they determine that the steering lock is the cause then they send all the info to Nissan and when Nissan gives the dealer approval then Nissan will release the part to your dealer.

The only way my Nissan guy could get me mine is I had to give him my Vin#,name, year, make, model of car then he called me back an hour later b/c he had to get approval from Nissan before he could sell it to me.
