DIY-Door handle removal

I'm at the point where I'm needing to disconnect the blue harness. Do I need to pull the entire harness free from the door frame first before disconnecting? I can

I'm at the point where I'm needing to disconnect the blue harness. Do I need to pull the entire harness free from the door frame first before disconnecting? I can barely get my hands in there and just wondering if it can come off the frame first so i can unplug the harness easier.
