STILLEN Front Splitter KB111215 | STILLEN

I just saw that they offer additional "turn buckles" to help support the splitter with their kits now....has anyone bought this splitter recently and installed these? Would be interested in seeing pics.

hey guys, I'm attempting to install my stillen splitter and I ran into huge issues. It's extremely hard to fit into place. I have yet to even get it in place with the tape alone. (Most tape doesnt even make contact.) Seems about a 1/2" off either direction. I always have a gap in the "center inside corners". I tried lining up the center first then pulling the ends on and it doesn't work. The center pops off. Then I tried hooking the sides first and pulling the middle on. Still no luck. The amount of tension required to try and get the lip in place is ridiculous. I can't pull it into place at all no matter what I do. Has anyone else had trouble with it? I'm getting extremely annoyed, not to mention I scratched up my paint the process Ughhh

^^ **edit*** ^^

I might have figured out my issue. I put a metal rod/brace in the front edge of the lip ahead to time to prevent the lip from the inevitable "sag" issue... and it might be what's causing my issue now. Not sure how much flex the lip needs to install, but it seemed pretty rigid from the get go.

Are you all removing the factory diffuser when installing the stillen lip? Wasn't sure if it made it look funny or not leaving it on.
