Plugs before a tune, new plugs was standard practice back in the day when plugs were more affordable.
Being that the VHR requires the removal of both TBs and some expensive plugs comparing what's out there I suggest you at least pull cyl 1 and 2 to visually check prior to. This way you can compare after the tune to see your marks on the ground strap and pay attention to the porcelain. You should see a white porcelain once tuned after a couple of passes. If you really care about this engine change the oil prior to, save a sample, get it analyzed then after your tune save some of that oil and get it analyzed. Should point out how much it'll be wearing and should give some pointers as to how much closer your intervals should be. Good Luck and may the force be with you ![]() |
