If you want to race, you have to pay for a "weekend" pass which is $20 here in Hawaii and then the event fee. If you plan on running in more then 4 events in the year its worth it. I'm still under 25 so it only cost me $35/year but I turn 25 this year so I bought a 2 year membership for $70
