you need to clutch in when you rip the ebrake. if that doesn't work then try adjusting tightening your ebrake until it can hold the car on a slight hill at 3-4 clicks. some of our z's come with the ebrake incredibly loose, including mine

are you drifting with a legit 2way lsd or on the stock vlsd? i can't run more than 10-15minutes before the vlsd overheats and needs to chill out for a bit before running again. drifting my friend's 240 with a 1.5way locked much much better. every time i thought i was going to spin out (like i would have in the z) it just kept going and going.

i only tightened it from the cabin, where the hand brake assembly is.
mine must have been looser than a 2$ hooker because it still won't lock ill just tighten it some more.. if not.... then idk lol
do you know if they make hydro brakes for our cars?

ahhh, I've tried a 240 with a welded diff.. easiest thing in the world to slide.

sick video i give you props, id be too scared to smash into one of those light poles

ya you probably just need to tighten it more. my driveway has a slight decline so what i did was just keep tightening it until i can stop the car from rolling back after 3 clicks. u can actually over tighten the ebrake where it'll drag at all times, so watch out for that.

i saw a vendor somewhere on this forum that was selling a universal kit of a hydraulic brake. the problem with that is, it won't sit pretty since u have to find a way to mount it somewhere. i'm too poor and OCD to think about hacking and slashing into my dash to fit one.

open up your center console and make your ebrake very tight, then try ebrake drifting, first pull your stop lamp fuse and turn of vdc and your set!

Quick clip of one of my runs from my first drift event. By the end of the day I was starting to get the hang of it.

I for one, would rather he search and bump an old thread, rather than just posting a new one for no real reason.

Sounds awesome!!

If you have a video you can share via Youtube or something that doesn't require a login, it would be nice for those of us that do not use FB

Did not realize it was an old thread. I just recently picked up my z and registered on the forums. I'm very much interested in learning everything I can about drifting so after finding this thread I felt my post may or may not help others out who might want to start drifting.

You'll find once you get the hang of it, drifting in the 370 is extremely easy. Some weight reduction, disable the abs, and a diff upgrade. Or just do what I did and find a 350z open diff and have it welded, then install.
