The stock swaybars are honestly adequate in the front but way too soft in the rear. The car understeers like a pig from the factory.

I'm in stock class for this season so I can't change the rear bar, only the front one. I guess an alternative option would be to find and adjustable front bar that can go softer than stock.

funny you say that. i think the hotchkis front sway is MUCH to stiff, and my car has so much understeer its taken the fun out of driving it hard.

Get the SPC camber arms and set the front camber to between -2.0 and -2.5. The understeer will be completely eradicated. |

What does this do to the longevity of your tires? Do you drive this car on the road with it set this way?

front tires are already showing slight uneven wear from dropping it ~1". while i dont mind cranking the camber, i think of it as sort of a band aide to the problem. even the rear bar set to the stiffest position, oversteer can only be achived by hard accelleration out of turns. i mean, the car is STIFF. pulling into my driveway at an angle causes the rear inside tire to literally lift off the ground.

For cars that see more street driving than track driving I think the Stillen sway bars are better. Hopefully the adjustable whiteline bars will be out soon as well, although I'm certain those will be pretty stiff as well. |
