Default DO NOT COME TO TEXAS NISSAN OF GRAPEVINE DEALERSHIP, read my story to find out why...

Here is my horrible experience with a dealership in Texas (Texas Nissan of Grapevine), I separated it into 4 different parts for easier digest!

Part I: We went to the dealership:
My wife and I went to this dealership on Sat. Nov 10, 2009 (yeah, it had been a while), we wanted to see the 370Z. The salesman (Terry) presented us with two vehicles, both are 6MT touring. One is white w/ sport and Nav, the other is blue with nav but no sport. We asked the salesman to see the numbers for both vehicles so we can compare and make decision. So he did, the difference between the two wasn't much, but since the blue does not have sport so we told them that we don't want the blue, we like the white (with sport and nav) and we did our negotiate on the white car(the blue is out of the picture now). After about 50min-1hr; I made him a final offer at X amount. They did not agree on the numbers so my wife and I both left (we did the right thing by walk away here!). A week has past; we got a called from the same salesman.....this is where the actual story begins. Keep a mental note of the blue car because it somehow came back at the end (magically!)

Part II: We returned to the dealership because of the phone call from the salesman:
It's was on Monday morning around 8:30AM, after 9 days from our first initial visit at the dealership, the salesman called me wanting to know if I'm still searching for the Z. I told him that I am in the process of searching other dealerships for it, and unless he agrees on my initial offer, else don't call me and I’m not interest in returning to his dealership for any more negotiations. So he asked me if he can sell the Z at the number I wanted, can I come in the same day to pick up the car. Sure, why not right?! 15 min later, he called back again and told me that we have a deal, and asked when I can come in to do the paper works. It was Monday and I’m at work, so I told him I'll use my lunch hour to stop by. Before I hang up the phone, I confirmed with him that this offer is on the white vehicle (which has sport and nav) and not the blue so there will be no mix up and wasting my time, and he confirmed. Since I only have 1 hour lunch, and knowing how long the paper works take, I asked if he could get the paper works done prior so all i have to do when I come in is to sign it, and be one my way! He promised it won’t take more than an hour!! So here I am at work but can't wait until noon so i can pick up my new ride!!! Yeah right....

Part III: Lunch time, returning to the dealership....waste of time:
So finally it's lunch time, before I head to the dealership, I called the salesman again to confirm that the offer is on the white vehicle and I everything is ready. I got to the dealership, he was outside the dealership greeting me and asked if I want to check out the vehicle (yup, I saw the same white vehicle 9 days ago part right in front of the dealership, all reps up and ready---so far so good right!). I took the key from him and check out the miles (the vehicle had 102 miles), turn on the engine and love how sweet the sound of the engine was!!! I took couple pictures and we went inside. Well, he didn't get the paper works done, so I waited, 1 hour passed and nothing happened. So I told him I needed to come back to work and see if I could stop by after work to get everything done then. Before he let me go, he asked me for a deposit (considering that i might not return), I handed him my credit card and he charged $500 deposit. I returned to work, 45 min late!

Part IV: Returning to the dealership 3rd times=BIG mistake:
So I stopped by after work with my wife (around 6:30PM), this time we went straight to the F&I office. We signed one document after another. You know how they started to explain all kind of additional insurances and try to get you to purchase things that you pay for but never used, or when you use it, the dealer won't honor!!! After about 1 hour in the whole signing and explaining craps, the lady presents us with a document to sign; my wife spots the color on the document said "Monterey"??? HUH?! We asked "we think you type in the wrong color, it supposed to be "Pear White". And wasn’t "Monterey" is blue? We are not buying the blue". So she said she inputted the inventory number in the system and that's the color shows up, but maybe it was a mistake so she said let double check with the salesman. My wife and I look at each other and feeling something doesn't smell right but thinking maybe the salesman got messed up on the color. The salesman took the paper and went down stairs, came back in 10mins with a sale manager?!!!! Here we goes, my wife and I said what's up with the manager. The sale manager started explaining that the inventory number got mixed up, "OKAY, so fixed the inventory number, what the big deal" right??? Scratch the old number and put down the correct one, what is so complicated about that?" He explained that the deal we made with the salesman is apparently on the blue car (without sport, the other one we saw 9 days ago, remember I told you guys to keep a mental note on this one??!!) And he said the white car is about $2000 more expensive. So I turn to the salesman and told him that we already confirmed the deal was on the white car, he showed me the key to the white car, and the car is sitting outside right now, and the miles on the white car I saw earlier matches the one on paper, except it says "blue" on paper instead of “white”? What the hell is going on?" The sale manager said "that when they got the vehicle delivers to them, the dealership put an inventory number on all of their vehicles, and when the salesman negotiates the number, he works their price base on the inventory number input in the system and make an offer, the problem is that they got the inventory mixed up from the beginning...blah, blah"...sound like a bunch of bullshits to me...,it was a heated argument for about 5mins, I was pissed and want to just storm out the door. But I played along with him and asked how to fix it, and I’m not interesting in knowing how **** up you guys did with the inventory number. Without hesitation, he asked if we can “help him out” by put down the differences (talking about 2G more). I was like, hell ******* no, told him and the salesman to go **** themselves and even if they agree to sell me the white vehicle at this point (without another 2G down) I wouldn't do business with them and we left. Never return....

BTW, they have the whole F&I process video recorded. And I recorded the whole thing with my phone too. I got the whole ******** on my phone. It wasn’t the best quality, I see if i can make it better and I will post it up so you all can enjoy!!!

What do you guys think? Did the dealership really make a mistake with their inventory numbers? Or they try to get money out of me? One thing I know for sure is that I tell all the people I know to NEVER come close to this dealership….DON’T DO IT!!!
