Last night was sick! Went up 2-0...then let 3 unanswered and ended up winning 4-3 in the 94th! Heres where I sat

Welp, still nothing officially official from any of the parties involved, but we in Seattle are losing our minds, the scum in Portland are pissed and Tottenham has seemingly made their transfer money back on Deuce....I'm very cautiously optimistic and won't believe it until I see Adrian Hanauer hand Dempsey a rave green scarf!

It's baaaack! :excited:

LFC already won today. Great save by Mingolet to keep it at 1-0.

Ugh, we deserved that loss. Not the best starting debut for Dempsey either and now our blog is getting trolled with Dynamo-colored Nikes....:icon14:

In other news, can we have Montero back?? Already a hat-trick for Sporting CP!

it's really, really frustrating sometimes to be a gunner.

Haboob 08-21-2013 03:24 PM

Well, we've bounced back against Fenerbarhçe, but they are a side that's struggling more than us.

However, three goals in Istanbul is a pretty solid feat considering past results by teams.

What does Poldi have to do to get a game?

Be healthy?

Isn't he coming off an injury? Or was it just from the int'l break. Surely he'll be in the starting squad against Fulham.

saber 08-21-2013 04:05 PM

I don't think he's hurt. If anything, Cazorla should've been resting these past two games. He's played the most in the summer.

With that said, our midfield was really good today, so Arsene gets a pass on it.

Crisis what?

Oh: Koscielny. :crying:

(please, Arsene, PLEAAAAASE BUY A DEFENDER)

I think we need three defenders and a GK at the rate that we keep getting hurt. :icon17:

And a holding midfielder.

Haboob 08-24-2013 08:17 AM

Poldi gets a start and gets a brace.

Our midfield looked excellent today. Walcott too.

Giroud, well, Mr Handsome was himself today. Got a goal and had some wonderful touches (mostly that one before Poldi's second goal, WOW).

Still 15' to go.

And of course Bent scores.

Well, our GD is back to zero now.

villa are getting slapped around by liverpool right now.

Haboob 08-25-2013 11:55 AM

Where did 6 added minutes come from in this Cardiff v City game?

Ridiculous.

If they tie it, it will be a shame.

3-2 result.

Sunday evening's Cascadia derby with over 67000 fans, probably close to 2000 crawling home in tears! http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3672/9...53486819_h.jpg

Haboob 08-28-2013 12:13 AM

Today's result for Arsenal was expected.

Good to see Ramsey get another couple of goals. Hopefully no threatening injury news after today.

Haboob 08-28-2013 05:26 PM

UCL pots and seedings are out:

Pot One: Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, FC Porto, Benfica.

Pot Two: Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, AC Milan, Schalke, Marseille, CSKA Moscow, PSG, Juventus

Pot Three: Zenit, Man City, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Basel, Olympiakos, Galatasaray, Leverkusen

Pot Four: FC Copenhagen, Napoli, Anderlecht, Celtic, Steaua Bucuresti, Viktoria Plzen, Real Sociedad, Austria Vienna

Thankfully we dodge many of the big ones. Dortmund, Napoli, Juve and the like still pose a threat though.

Haboob 08-29-2013 12:37 PM

Yikes, we drew a tough group.

Though, there will be some fun games to watch in the other groups:

Group F:

Arsenal
Marseille
Dortmund
Napoli

Most likely, unless we do some buying here.

Madrid look like they've got Bale, so they may be more open to selling Ozil to us (and a few others I think were mentioned).

We'll see...

JNews86 08-31-2013 10:18 AM

They have to actually go after a player and not just say they want to though lol

Haboob 09-01-2013 11:50 AM

I hate how all of the sudden we're a parked bus for the last 5 or so min. of this match.

Giving the Spuds all the possession in the world.

:shakes head:

Haboob 09-01-2013 11:54 AM

One nil to the Arsenal.

FT.

We still need to buy.

JNews86 09-01-2013 09:18 PM

I hear Arsenal agreed to Ozil for 50mil

forza370z 09-02-2013 01:32 AM

Kaka is back!!:happydance:

JNews86 09-02-2013 03:46 PM

Yep! King of Milan he shoulda never left. Was at the NY vs DC game Saturday night! Robles had a great PK save.

Can't let this thread die!

There are goals, then there are Arsenal goals:

(Link to video, the GIF didn't quite show how amazing of a team goal this was)

 Video: Wilshere's goal (1-0)

And then Rambo's goal. :yum:

arsenal / mugsmashers this weekend, should be awesome

too bad we don't have the flame in the side, would have LOVED to see him mark the **** out of 'pools terrible midfield

saber 11-03-2013 11:36 AM

Stuart Robson is such a little c*nt. I don't understand any of his comments when he watches an Arsenal game. Arteta and Rosicky were brilliant against Pool, the defense was solid (not pretty), and we have the defense to mount a decent title challenge if we stay healthy and focused. And no, the substitution of defensive players in attacking positions is not a bad thing, it's known as "shutting up shop". Idiot doesn't even know what formation Arsenal ended up with.

Good win against Liverpool, Ramsey is absurd, but Liverpool really didn't offer much of a challenge, which surprised me.

Agreed. Rambo is on fire and I love it.

Their striking duo was highly touted all week, but didn't quite live up to what they had been doing in past weeks. Off day? Or solid defense by us?

Let's hope we stay healthy, because this is fun.

Can still turn it around, but bloody hell has this team become the definition of late season/playoff choke artists! :(

need to give portland some credit too, they ran seattle off the pitch a lot of the time. the cross for the first goal, though, positioning was horrible all along the defensive line. how the hell did the cross go near post BEHIND the goalkeeper is beyond me.
