Anyone going to watch it? Who is excited besides me! Even though I am a diehard USA and Germany fan....Ill have to admit I pray THE Ronaldo gets one last shot for Brazil before he retires. If he plays, considering he is my all time favorite player I will automatically have to go for Brazil!

For those who dont know of him

I loooooooooove Germany!!!!!! Hey, our US team is getting better. Dont give up on your country man. Check this out. Never have I seen so much heart out of our squad and even though I am devistated from our confed cup loss to Brazil in the final, we defied all odds and knocked out #1 Spain. When I saw Dempseys emotions, literally crying his eyes out after the game it showed how much it means to them now. I actually had to look away because it bothered me so much seeing them going through such a hard loss. Have faith man!

Thick and thin.....I am ALWAYS American. They are always first.

phelan 08-30-2009 06:33 PM

on such a strange note, too...was not impressed with his conduct against italy, but...

the guy's a bloody legend, so maybe it'll slide? <_<;

where's the love for the rest of the french team? thierry henry, anyone? i loved him on arsenal, and i almost traded jerseys for barcelona when he left..

Zidane is the greatest midfielder, if not the greatest player I have ever had the honor to watch play.

Henry is alright, but I put Trezeuget over Henry to be honest. RIBERY FTW!!!!

Im NOT a France fan at all.....but I do respect some of their talent. Benzema is going to be a great player for you guys once he gets experience.

No offense....but France doesnt stand a chance with the coach they have......

He is making stupid choices....Not denyin their talent, but without Zidane its tough he is the MAIN reason they made it to the final. Without him....good luck. Its a shame to see such talent go. One of the worst things for me is seeing a great player walk off the pitch for the last time....

cow 08-30-2009 07:49 PM

I don't disagree at all. They're still my team, though.

Nothing wrong with that! But Dometech really needs to stop being a **** and call Trezeuget up and put the teams needs over his own issues.

IMO.....Germany/Spain final. Same way I called the Euro08 final. I picked Spain to win that one but Germany is getting stronger and stronger so I dont know about this final here. I don see Italy going far....they are going through a rebuilding stage....they wil be nasty soon.

CrownR426 09-28-2009 05:38 PM

Portugal, Brazil, Korea

Go my teams!

DannyGT 09-28-2009 07:32 PM

<- Portuguese...one word, Renaldo!

As for Zidane, it was a sad end to his football career when he was sent off in his last game for France after head butting Italian defender Materazzi. I hate that POS. If your 'honored' to have watched him then you seriously need to watch any game Renaldo (brazil), Renaldinho (brazil), and Renaldo (Portugal) play in...Has nothing to do with the name although it’s ironic but those are the 3 players that have absolutely blown my mind watching in real competition. Mind blowing!

Renaldo (Portugal) gets hated on, but there is a reason why he won player of the year 2x, and he's only starting! He just started on his new team and has what 6 goals in the first two games?? This kid will be a real legend...Maradona/Pele type legend. Now, all he needs to do is apply that effort in the World Cup games!

G37Sam 09-28-2009 08:15 PM

Only reason C Ronaldo gets hated on is even though he might be a great player, he has zero sportsmanship. He's simply a b!tch to play against and a very nasty player. I still admire his talent though.

<- Brazil all the way for me here

westpak 09-28-2009 08:50 PM

love the world cup, I watched every game of the 2006 cup hope the time difference makes for good times to watch games.

wish it was more than every 4 years, but the Euro cup fills in the gap and right now the under 20 cup is going on

I agree with you on his attitude, althought in the past 1-2 years he has improved alot!

You mean Ronaldo :p Sorry I had to bust your balls. Zidane is one of the greatest players I have ever seen. IMO he is the best midfielder I have ever seen and I would put him there as #1 in the world (arguably)

C Ronaldo won player of the year cuz he is a ball hog. Many times for Man U he left them screwed on defense. He is a midfielder and he just pushes up like he is a striker leaving their forwards the job to go back and defend....

+1, you come within 6ft of Ronaldo he dives. His dancing and hogging of the ball is annoying too. But playing for a team like Madrid with all these world class players will make him grow into a team player.

tc20 05-06-2010 02:45 PM

It's gonna be Spain and possibly Argentina in the final...either way Spain takes it!

cow 05-06-2010 08:00 PM

Oh god, I can't wait. A local theatre that caters to independent films is going to play the final for my friends & I.

I'm counting down the days. My girlfriend already knows she won't get to see me during the month of June.

blue660r01 05-06-2010 08:09 PM

I am extremely excited. Disappointed I may miss a Germany game during group stages because I may be on the ride to Florida still. I'll at least be able to listen on the radio though.

cow 05-06-2010 10:28 PM

I just joined an indoor team. Holy ****, I'm excited.

tc20 05-06-2010 10:34 PM

 niiiice...i wish i could find one of those around here

blue660r01 05-06-2010 10:55 PM

Id join but I am too out of shape. Once I get back into shape I'll be back in the game.

cow 05-06-2010 10:57 PM

I googled "Corpus Christi indoor soccer" & found this:
Soccer Locker Corpus Christi | MySpace

Maybe check that out (assuming "CCTX" is "Corpus Christi, Tx).

Got a strong argument against why this wont happen...but I'll refrain from that for right now.

tc20 05-07-2010 12:31 AM

I bet you it's a good argument too..as long as you dont say Germany's gonna win!

haha I actually have Germany winning this year in my picks. This is subject to change depending on how things go when the final roster is selected....as of now they are a strong squad. Their goalkeeper issue now is a worry for me since Adler is injured.

I just think Argentina lacks the experience to win, and expecially seeing how Messi plays like crap in the international games they dont really stand much of a chance. And as for Spain....they ALWAYS choke. With a squad as strong as theirs it shouldnt happen. I just dont trust Spain at all as much as I would like to.

Hmmmmm...Germany's Squad is strong indeed. But there is something about their midfield that just doesnt do it for me. Sure you have Ballack and Schweinsteiger but it still doesnt seem as together as it should be.

Something about Argentina just screams final to me! idk why haha
You're right about the inexperience on that team. But they will have one of the most, if not the most talented squads taken to South Africa. And I guess I'm relying on that talent to push them through..

As for the Spaniards, we all know about how in the past they have choked time after time in the grand stage. But this time it's a little different. For one they have arguably the best squad in Spain's international history. A great balance of everything you need to win the cup on that squad. Second thing is they finally broke the curse of never winning any silverware at Euro 2008. Now you can never say they have never won anything. And finally yes they did choke in last years confeds cup to the United States, but do you really think this spanish team is going to let that happen again??? Iniesta was out that whole tournament and Xavi just isn't Xavi without him....I say if Torres is at 100% you will not be able stop David Villa.

G37Sam 05-07-2010 03:14 AM

No matter how strong the squad is, unless they have a proper final touch they won't go anywhere

Which is why Brazil is snatching its sixth this summer! :D

tc20 05-07-2010 07:28 AM

Enlighten me on this proper final touch

feelzpwr91 05-07-2010 08:46 AM

Italy all the way!!!
