I was at the opposite end of the Clink and haven't the stomach to watch the DVR so I chalk it up to Marcus getting hung out to dry by the back line. The back line has been brilliant at times, particularly during our hot streak and especially against RSL way back in September but they haven't shown up since. Indeed, Porter has really turned the scum around this year and that annoys me to no end. We really missed Yedlin on Saturday, our diamond got really narrow without him speeding up and down the right side.

JNews86 11-05-2013 08:37 PM

NY got screwed

Titan1080 11-05-2013 11:20 PM

^^Oh cry me a river, Cahill's goal in Seattle shouldn't have counted in that 1-1 draw in September! Also, he put Evans in a headlock and Evans gets carded??? Yeah I know, old news! lol

Haboob 11-06-2013 07:30 AM

So wait, what happened? I heard MLS Playoffs or something are happening?

I'd watch more if it was early morning stuff, like the PL is for us. :icon17: Never home when MLS is on in the afternoon/evening.

saber 11-06-2013 03:04 PM

Aaron Ramsey = straight BEAST right now.

Haboob 11-06-2013 05:30 PM

Rambo is amazing.

Massive, massive win at Dortmund. Now we have to face Utd. Trying times indeed, but we shall prevail as long as we keep up our tenacity.

That type of behavior is reserved for NY and LA sports fans! How dare he...

saber 11-08-2013 10:40 AM

LA lost the plot against RSL. That was horrible, NOTHING was working for the Galaxy. RSL simply wanted it more. Their 2nd goal in extra time was something beautiful, as well as awful for LA's defending.

Edges out CR7.

Haboob 11-26-2013 02:04 PM

Up quick against Marseille! Wilshere in the first minute.

Ramsey should have had a second goal.

What's the result we're looking for from Dortumnd and Napoli? Dortmund is up 1-0 currently.

Haboob 12-02-2013 09:01 AM

Rambo scores twice, two people die. :shakes head:

You keep on scoring, Rambo. :D

No talk about the draw and USA? SMH you guys are slackin.

forza370z 12-13-2013 11:24 PM

Okay guys I have a dumb question here. Please bear with me... I've been using Comcast cable tv all my life thus far. I used to have Fox Soccer Channel, BeIn sports so I pretty much could watch all the games. But while ago Comcast downgraded me because the sports pkg requires digital starter while I only have basic. I am so pissed... But yesterday, I came across this...

DishWorld - Watch Sports

Is it real?? Only $10 a month? Or it's just $10 extra on top of xxx package I have to have just like Comcast sh!t? I never used Dish network before. Can I just have this sports package alone? Any advise would be appreciated.:tiphat:

USA! USA! USA!

Now you can't blame on slacking like the rest of you guys.:icon17::P

Haboob 12-14-2013 04:25 PM

Arsenal looked poor in the second half vs. Napoli, and looked poor in the 40min I could bear to watch against City... and then we conceded six total goals.

Unreal.

We have just started a very tough set of games and have not started well... :shakes head:

Brah Bayern is coming here next year for the all star game. Considering they opened an office in NYC and said they are extending their stay for some friendlies I could only imagine they will play here in NY. Come out for a game!

We have just started a very tough set of games and have not started well... :shakes head:

The Napoli game was coming off of a shitstorm against Everton (which we really should have taken 3 points if we were on our game), which was also following a midweek Hull game that followed a reasonably good Cardiff fixture. It's just congestion at this point, every single player that walked out at the Etihad (save Feo) looked tired. Ramsey's engine is shot right now and needs a bit of a break, Ozil's still adjusting to the demands of the EPL, and Giroud is...well, Giroud. Lungbusting runs, but needs to finish, and he can only keep the line for so long.

This Chelsea game is going to be tough, and then we head to WHU (the throwaway game of this set of games) before going to Newcastle, who are in good form. VERY tough for the Gunners right now, but if we were claiming to be Championship material, this is the time to prove it.

Personally, I think our time is next year. We need just a little more quality in the striker department.

You're probably right.

I just don't want to go another year reading and hearing the **** about Arsenal not being good enough, eight years (or whatever it is now, I stopped counting) without a trophy, blah blah blah.

I want it to end this year.

I didn't know it's a fairly new service. After little research, I think it's a great news for US soccer fans! It doesn't require installing anything. Just a streaming device that connects to the internet and TV. It also don't need any type of contract. $10 per month flat! And you can cancel it anytime no question asked. I am definitely going to try it out. Here is a review for anyone who is interested.

Be patient. It will. Things come with time. I was dying for so long for Bayern to win the CL again and it happened. Stick with it my brotha.

Bayern sign Lewandowski to a 5yr deal @ 11mil a year

And Swansea def. ManUre 2-1 to knock them out of the FA Cup.

saber 01-07-2014 03:44 PM

Sunderland just spanked them out of the Capital One Cup too :roflpuke2: SUNDERLAND!!!! aka Man United rejects! bwahahaha

edit: ManU have the home leg still. so they're not out yet. boo.

RvP must be having the time of his life on the injury table right now, it feels so familiar!

Also I absolutely LOVED the FA cup against spurs, Theo notwithstanding.

Aston Villa, Fulham, Southampton, Crystal Palace...these are games we need to bank points away. Man City is too close and too good this year!

That, and Liverpool -> Man United -> BAYERN ******* MUNICH. So stoked for the UCL.

saber 01-22-2014 10:56 AM

Mourinho is bloody brilliant. Take 4 pts off Manchester United, then ship away Juan Mata to ManU so they can get more points off of the other title contenders: Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool (lol). ******* manager, but bloody brilliant.

JNews86 02-01-2014 01:42 AM

Anyone see Thiagos goal?

Haboob 05-23-2014 07:56 AM

Wow, it's been a while since any of us have posted in here.

However, the World Cup is around the corner. Here's the confirmed US squad:

United States confirmed squad:

Goalkeepers: Brad Guzan, Tim Howard, Nick Rimando

Defenders: DaMarcus Beasley, Matt Besler, John Brooks, Geoff Cameron, Timmy Chandler, Omar Gonzalez, Fabian Johnson, DeAndre Yedlin

Midfielders: Kyle Beckerman, Alejandro Bedoya, Michael Bradley, Brad Davis, Mix Diskerud, Julian Green, Jermaine Jones, Graham Zusi

Forwards: Jozy Altidore, Clint Dempsey, Aron Johannsson, Chris Wondolowski

Landon Donovan left out. Beasley becomes the first (and only) to make four WC's for the US. Donovan should be in there, even if it's as a sub.

Haboob 05-23-2014 07:57 AM

Oh, and The Arsenal are FA Cup champs. Trophy drought is over and Wenger has the backing to "spend big" in the Summer.

We'll see how that last part goes... :ugh:

So far so good, thanks to Alexis Sanchez.
Although, at this point its too late to catch up on Chelsea for the first place.

Just watched USA 2-0 against Mexico :)
