Wild prediction:
Man Utd 2 - 1 Arsenal Rooney (2) Wilshere (58) Van Persie (87) 2-1, dutch skunk puts man utd ahead for the win. we proceed to throw everything we can find in old trafford onto the pitch. makes for one helluva when they come to the emirates  i hope the entire team ignores him in the tunnel. |
I'm gonna be ultra-optimistic (and probably more wild than yours, Phelan) and say 2-1 Arsenal. RvP goes off around the 18' with a sprained ankle (out 6-10 weeks).
Young (21') Giroud (62') Mertesacker (86') - from a corner. |
^ not gonna happen already. Kagawa is injured :p

Well, we conceded early to none other than RvP.
We don't even look like scoring. Won't be surprised if it ends up 3-0 at this rate... almost half time though and same scoreline, so far. |
Pretty worrisome performance by the Gunners . . . Looks like we'll finish mid-table this season, ,. .
|
Yep.
I'm just not sure what needs to be done. Thought with Jack back we'd be stronger in the midfield, but not much has changed. The back is the most worrisome, and we can't get anything going forward at all. |
and for some reason Arteta + Podolski look way out of form . . . not to mention Vermaelen
|
I don't see it getting any worse if Wenger gives Arshavin and Chamakh a chance in the starting XI next premier league game. It'll be interesting to see who he starts for Shalke
|
To this day I still feel like its the first time I've watched it
|
So nice ! ^ ~
I'm always reminded of his head-but in the World Cup Final againts Italy in 2006 when I see/hear of 'Zidane.' 555 |
Still one of the greatest to play the game. Sad way to go out but you cannot forget about his pure brilliance.

new yawk red bulls

Who throws the ball at a ref? Honestly? What a SLOPPY, PATHETIC game!
|
poldi hit a wall. vermaelen worries me the most. he's played like **** all season so far.

Here is my honest assessment of yesterdays performance:
The fans have clamored for Jacks return, but they forget that he's been out for over a year, and it has showed. His first touch has let him down, yesterday he was abysmal and i'm not quite sure why Wenger allowed him to start against such a strong side this soon. I'm hopeful of his continued improvement, but its still too soon to see his best. I have ZERO fvcking clue why AW continually allows Theo to warm the pine, coming off a hat trick, his confidence is flying high, yet he sits. He chooses to deploy Ramsey on the wing when he fvcking knows he doesnt have the pace needed for that position, he is a CENTRAL midfield player. Theo should have started on the right and Ramsey in the middle. I dont have any idea why he went with Santos on the left with the performances he's put in of late. Vermaelen should have been pushed left and Kos should have been in the center with the german. Or Jenkinson on the right with Bac on the left. To date, yesterday was the worst i've seen us play in years, YEARS. ManUre was in 3rd gear all match and still comfortably put us to the sword. WTF has been up with Verms lately? he's look a shell of his former self, that give away to Skunky was some high school shyt, seriously, professional footballers dont mis kick a ball with an attacker breathing down your neck, you clear that shyt out, EVERY time. Santi has lost form and its started after the international break, not 100% sure why but he's played a lot of matches, I think he's being ran ragged and needs a break. At least a week off. We have become too reliant on him and with injuries, I see why we have, but his form has dipped severely, and while his goal was well taken, it came entirely too late. Lastly, this ManUre side was makeshift, there was no quality in their midfield and they bossed it. Carrick and Cleverly? wow. We need help and fast. Our midfield needs more depth and we need a striker who can score goals. Holy fvck we need Lopez or Falcao, spend the fvcking MONEY. |
If not today at Shalke, in our next Premier League matches I think Arsene Wenger should experiment with Arshavin, Chamakh, and Squillaci back in the starting XI . . . Nearly every single player had NOTHING to offer againts Manchester. Why not try some of the talent that's been sitting on the bench for many months now (?) . . .
I think the best thing we can do is play to our strength/s of our Pretty Passing Game through midfield-forward to goal. Use someone bigger/stronger up front today, instead of Gervinho . . . Giroud would work. Then start Podolski & Walcott up front, as well as Koscielny and Vermaelen in back ( w/ Mertesacker and Jenkinson). |
lmao
WOW! DID YOU SEE THAT! I HIT IT WITH MY HEAD! ONE TOUCH, BANG! I AM GIROUD! :rofl2: (for those of you not listening to 'The Tuesday Club - An Arsenal Podcast'...what's wrong with you?) |
1-2 Arsenal at the half.
Only watching on ESPNs gamecast, hopefully we've been playing well. Walcott is still scoring... still making his case that she should be starting. But, we conceded right before halftime, never good. |

I left the Pub after the first 45, but Arsenal didn't play their nice, fluid passing game through the midfield. It looked like more direct play to goal without elaborate passing through the midfield; however, Cazorla was in better form.
Who, specifically would you guys say is to blame for each of the TWO conceded goals ? ? ? Arsenal should have won this game by keeping the sheet clean after our early Walcott & Giroud goals |
:shakes head: :shakes head:
|
Cazorla slipped. I blame Nike.

Bayern wins 6-1 and Barca loses with 82% poss. Good day!

He may not be THE Super Mario, but he's surely OUR Super Mario tonight! Took a world class shot to beat Rimando not just tonight but the entire series!!!! Now on to our next playoff nemesis, LA! Oh, and go Houston! :happydance:

Very nice goal. I do like the Sounders, but MLS is on at the wrong times for me usually, so I don't follow it like I should.
|
I didn't see the game so I don't know the circumstances, but it looks like a classic counter-attack goal. Very good skill to take it on the half-volley and lash it into the far upright, but where the hell was the fullback? I know RSL aren't crazy enough to play a 3-5-2 formation, so the FB must have been on an overlap and couldn't track back. The CB got pulled out to cover for his non-existent FB, and they got burned by it. If they're in a 4-3-3, wouldn't the RM drop back to cover?
In fact, WHY IS RSL JOGGING BACK IN A PLAYOFF GAME WTF. I would add, though, I love the Sounders more than the Galaxy. Home Depot Center has NOTHING on the noise CenturyLink comes up with during the Northwest games. |
interesting question (?):
Which coach could you see coming to work as Manager for Arsenal when Arsene Wenger's time comes to leave ? I've been a gooner since 2010. I've never known any other Arsenal besides the one Mr. Wenger created. I think some really great things are in the club's future, including a new style/thought of play through a young, bright leader & coach. . . |
I'd love Jurgen Klopp, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Bould or another bench coach be promoted, considering the board's track record.
|
oh my god england just got zlatan'd
|
Hilarious. Fk England
|
|
That goal was AWESOME!!

Jeez * *

Derby in 4 hours time . . . SCORE PREDICTIONS ? ? ?
