Adebayor, what's the score? Adebayor, what's the score? Adebayor, what's the score? Adebayor, what's the score?

If I weren't so damn skeptical, I'd get myself a Giroud jersey already. KEEP THE FAITH!

Red370 11-19-2012 03:19 AM

Giroud seems to have found form lately but quite honestly, i've been impressed by how well Theo has been playing, he used to disappear for long stretches, have a good game and then disappear for weeks at a time, this year he seems to be contributing with both goals and assists, him and Giroud have combined a few times already. They need to get his fvcking contract situation figured out. And if he goes, we better have a like for like replacement, I wouldnt mind seeing Schurrle in an Arsenal shirt, or if like the reports say, Sterling from Lpool, kid is young and you can already see the talent.

It's great that Giroud is scoring some nice goals. . . he looks to have experience scoring goals and playing as a center forward. If not completely fill his shoes, Giroud's skills can replace RVP.

Sterling could fit in well @ Arsenal.
What reasons could push Walcott to play for the other Red team .?..

phelan 11-20-2012 12:00 AM

are you two really falling into the sterling bandwagon? 'englands next big thing'? the dude barely has half the brain theo has, and theo is finally using his! we lose theo, we earn the title 'arsenal finishing club'.

cow 11-20-2012 05:05 PM

Sterling. Sweet, another prospect to field when the prospect in whom so much time was invested is finally starting to consistently come good.

In other news, Forza Juve!

forza370z 11-20-2012 10:38 PM

Nordsjaelland 2-5 Shakhtar... Not that it's a big game to watch, but Luiz Adriano's goal is just ungraceful... And Shakhtar's defenders refused to return a favor to Nordsjaelland afterwards just made things worse...

Haven't heard this about Sterling ^ . . . didn't even know he was English. I could just see him coming to the Emirates for 'refining' and 'finishing'

what a d*ck. but can't say anything. there's no "rule" that forces him to return the ball and play nice.

Haboob 11-21-2012 06:06 PM

Can't see it, the video was already taken down.

I did see our goals today though and Poldi's was sweet.

bigsix 11-21-2012 07:38 PM

^ ^ Oh yeah . . . reminded me of RVP's goal last year ( i believe Song provided the assist that time)

forza370z 11-21-2012 08:47 PM

Wow! What an overhead kick goal from Mexes outside the box! Just like a repreat of Ibra's goal from last week! Forza Milan!!!

Ok, video updated. This is really unfair play! The ball was supposed to be passed to Nordsjaelland's goal keeper while their player was on the ground recieve some treatments. But Luis Adriano picked it up and scored. After the game re-kickoff, Shakhtar supposed to return a goal back to Nordsjaelland. But no, their defender stopped it... I mean there is no rule says you can't score that goal but it's just ungraceful!

I see it now.

Yes, very disrespectful and completely against the fair play standards. Karma is a bitch though. It lies dormant, but he just poked the beast.

I love Podolski's "ow ow ouch" celebration after that goal. Too hot to handle.

I think he was imitating the net, because he damn near put a hole in it with that rocket.

phelan 11-24-2012 04:28 AM

repost, but it bewilders me, why isn't the podolski song sung at the emirates?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcHdHNbC3jM

lu lu lu, lukas podolski!

bigsix 11-29-2012 12:51 AM

Was Podolski injured today ? or why didn't he feature vs. Everton today ?

Haboob 11-29-2012 08:06 AM

I believe he was injured.

However, we are looking more and more dreadful each game.

And with UEFA looking to scrap the Europa league next year, we need to make sure we get the CL spot, or win it this time 'round.

phelan 11-29-2012 09:53 AM

arseblog said it fairly, in isolation a point against Everton isn't bad. we are desperately shorn of backups, however; there is no depth beyond our starting XI. wenger doesn't need major talent in a single spot in january, but he does need role players to provide some challenge to the current first team starters, and to provide cover. midfield and left back i think, assuming that sagna stays.

btw - see ya, theo.

bigsix 11-29-2012 10:56 PM

As a fan, it was pretty frustrating to watch as we kept giving the ball away cheaply and didn't score a 2nd goal. Of course, AW says a draw was a "good result" in terms of the players showing good spirit :shakes head:

In my eyes, their performance wasn't good enough. I think we should have won. Everton isn't as good as their place in the table would suggest. Something i've noticed that's missing is the beautiful, flowing pass game we used to use to score goals from w/in the opposition's penalty box . . . Maybe that was lost when our best players kept leaving the team over the past couple years.

phelan 12-01-2012 12:53 PM

weeee are shiiiiiiiiiiiite

bigsix 12-02-2012 11:36 AM

I guess Gooners are beginning to know what it feels like to support a mediocre, mid-table team, now. . . :shakes head: Wow

Haboob 12-02-2012 08:30 PM

Yeah.

I never made fun of Liverpool for it, but I do know how they feel now. It's a sad feeling.

forza370z 12-02-2012 10:16 PM

Oh well, us Milan too... mid-table team...:shakes head: I feel your pain.

arsene wenger has spoiled many recent gooner fans. i've been doing my history reading on the club, watching the years gone by...and tbh, some of the arsenal teams that spawned "1-nil to the arsenal" were DIRE.

Played with weakened side and lost 2-1 in Greece. Oh well.

Shalke/Montpellier drew 1-1.

phelan 12-04-2012 03:46 PM

Montpelier did their part, but we failed in getting first. Oh well.

Meade looks alright. Chamakh deserves a bench spot by pure virtue of the rest of the bench being utter, utter SH*T.

Overall, another poor performance by Mr. Wenger's squad.

It was good seeing Chamakh and Squillaci play again.

Vermaelen and Sczesny had a good game.

Some luck helped Arsenal win today (!) . .

Haboob 12-08-2012 12:12 PM

Nice dive by Cazorla. Had to leave before half-time, so I didn't get to see the second PK. Was it just as bad?

bigsix 12-09-2012 01:52 AM

The 2nd one was legitimate . . . Arteta drilled it right down the middle like the first one.

Haboob 12-11-2012 02:17 PM

Down 1-0 to Bradford.

Sad state of affairs right now. Still a little over a half to go to climb back into it, but man... we shouldn't even have let it get this bad.
