Am I too old...

I originally responded to this post a long time ago but I saw two emails on the subject this week. They make me smile because I still use the car as my daily driver and have no plan to replace it. ...

Thanks for your thoughtful responses. It probably doesn't matter what I think; my wife is not going to part with her 370Z. Since we met, she chooses her cars carefully and then keeps them for...

Reliability

I have been browsing Utube videos about the 370Z. Most are negative; complaining about clutch failures, steering lock, axle bearings and bushings, oil consumption, paint, and on and on. If you are...

Am I too old for a Z

I just saw this threat and couldn't hold back a comment. Check my old thread; I bought my 2011 370Z when I was 70 and still have it. It is my daily driver and has held up well. It makes me feel...

Sorry I didn't respond sooner - I failed to see your post.
I did take some photos but they weren't impressive. They showed the front edge of the hood pushed in as well as the nose. The damage...

Thanks to South Ark370Z for actually sending useful information.

Here is the final story: The body shop found far more damage than was obvious. While the headlights looked OK, apparently some...

Body Damage

Here's an issue I haven't seen addressed. I hit a deer last night and have some damage; however much less than you would expect. Traveling at 60 mph and this buck ran right out-I guess he wanted to...

Brake pad life

Here is an easy question; What is the life expectancy of the the original brake pads. They look OK but I would rather replace them early than have to replace the rotors.

This is my wife's 2011...

Battery Life

We still have the original battery in our 2011 370Z. Everything works fine but since it is primarily my wife's daily driver, and I don't want her to get stuck somewhere, I figured 9 years is enough....

Wiring Diagrams/Fuse Boxes

Thanks for the speedy response - you are right on. That fuse that caused the problem was under that insane long-term storage switch. I pried it out and didn't put it back. Everything works again....

Wiring Diagrams/Fuse Boxes

This problem is so simple that someone must know the answer. The Home link (garage door opener) stopped working. The first thing I want to check is the fuse and the Service Manual says that it is...

Question Tire mileage

The OEM Yokahamas on the rear of my wife's 370Z look like they will make it to about 20K miles before reaching the wear bars. The fronts could easily last another 5K miles.

I am leaning toward...

Sound Deadening

I read many of the notes on reducing external noise and see many different approaches. One thing I hate to do is spend a lot of time and money on a project and then be disappointed with the results....

Steering Lock

Our early 2011 has exhibited no signs of a problem, but better safe than sorry. Especially, since it is my wife's car and she is often far from home.
I followed your procedure to remove the fuse...

Tire Wear

I was just looking the tires over and it seems that the rears are wearing faster than I expected. They are the OEM 18" 245/45Yokahamas. They have only 13K miles and are down to 5/32 of tread left. ...

Back-up light

thanks for your interest, but I want to illuminate down low so that we can benefit from the camera. The standard back-up lights are bright but they can't reach down low close to the car.
