Neighbor works for BMW. Buys it using this BMW program where you order, go to Germany, pick up the car, drive in Europe for a few, drop it off and is shipped the States. He says, always buy the additional warranty because it is a BMW. Whatever you do build the warranty to your budget. He's had a 750, now a 5 series, and an M4. So, from someone who is an insider, this is what he recommends. He says they do break and it'll cost ya.

One of my friend's older sisters did that when we were in high school in the 90s. Drove around for almost a month in a brand new 3 series and then shipped it stateside. We were in absolute awe - I remember looking at the photos like it was yesterday.
