Just curious - why it has lower HP than Z06? What is better on Grand Sport than the Z06 ?? Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

zo6 has a supercharger that produces 650hp, GS has bell and whistles and about 15k less and less problematic than the issue overheating zo6

Basically, GS with the Z07 pkg is the Z06 without the supercharger.

Suspension wise the Z06 and GS are the same as well as some Z06 Specific features. What's different is the Grand Sport has a standard corvette engine which makes it 200lbs lighter and not as front heavy. The GS has a different tune on the GS giving it +5HP/+10lb tq. But feels a lot different from the stingray based on how it's geared as well. So it feels like a naturally aspirated Z06 instead of a Stingray.

It's a better balanced car for the track and it's --$13,000 cheaper than a Z06.

All this I wrote are in the posted articles. Consider this post for you a early birthday gift.

It's not a tune that gives it the extra power. The motor and tune are the exact same as the standard stingray. The difference is the GS comes standard with the NPP exhaust. HP on the GS vs a stingray with NPP option equals the same HP rating.

You are right about the gearing though, which does improve butt dyno feel as well as track numbers.

Wouldn't changing gears on a transmission be considered a tune?

Wouldn't changing gears on a transmission be considered a tune? N I thought the npp exhaust only puts out +5hp/+5tq. So I figured the extra +5tq came from the transmission tune.

I think those are decals on the fender, but I like them gives it character and appeal knowing its a GS.
