So guys,

Essentialy we either have to wait for the Tokyo Auto show or Nissan 2018 press release to see whether or not they'll be continuing/updating the Z...is this correct?

I know the Tokyo Auto show is in Oct, but anyone know when the 2018 press release will be?

By my speculations, and this could be totally wrong, I'd say sometime in 2018.

The press kit for the 2017 model was released on June, 14 2016.

I know because I downloaded it and ordered my car just after that.

So May got us the Heritage Edition and the TAS will maybe give more info about the new car or a silent end-of-life...

The 2018 press release will only state the updates to the current Z for the base Z, the 2018 press release came out. That's how we know about the heritage edition.

The nismo gets its own press release 2+ months later.

The Tokyo auto show is supposedly gonna show the Z concept. But this is show #3 that was claimed.

2018s are out for Canada. I know the trim levels are usually different from US versions, but Canadian models have changed their trims again which essentially gives you even more bang for the buck - check out this thread for more detailed info..

2018 's Are Up On Nissan.ca!

I also noticed blacked out head lights which I love. On the other hand those new wheels look so tacky! I wonder what changes USDM will get...

I almost feel as though the price rarely decreases, but every year they just add more "standard features" which were once "options" depending on the trim level you purchased. I understand financially it's a great move, but I still think Nissan is being really weird lol
A lot of models from different manufacturers upgrade their models in a similar way for a few years before redesigning - I get that - but this has been the case for the Z for way too long.

More than likely, USDM will get the same.

Yeah....I don't know what to do. I was set on silver. I really dont know wtf Nissan is doing by only offering white and black for 2018. I'm assuming 2018 is the last MY for the z34. Unless of course they just offer one color for 2019 and then kill production. On the other hand I think red is growing on me. I don't like white, black is a pita to maintain. I like red, but I don't think it contrasts well with the red accents. This is how I chose silver. BTW does red swirl easily?

Not sure about the red, but +1 for the silver I wanted a black cherry Z, but the dealer I went to didn't have one and silver was my second choice.... I think I made a good decision (as far as maintenance goes). Plus, the silver is very nice IRL. Looks great Good luck with your decision!

I'm really liking the q60 coupe these days, Nissan better show us a new Z in Tokyo this year. If the q60 was a bit lighter, I'd be in for sure.
