I hope they make manual for the top 500hp version don't really care for the dual clutch 7speed auto..if so, I settle for the base 300hp turbo in a manual.

500 HP for $50K sounds great. What Japanese import can boast that. But then I'll believe it when I see it

Edit: looks like $50K is for the 400 HP version. LOL

If I had to speculate? I'd say the 400HP Z would be about $8000 cheaper than the 400HP Q60.

I think the $60k Z will be the 500HP Z. Rightfully so...

Interestingly, when the GT-R was first released in 2008/9, it was 479hp for $69k (or £56k in Britain) - and it was considered a bargain. So, $60k (maybe £50k in Britain) would make a 500hp Z car even more of a bargain than the original GT-R.

I just hope that any new 3.0 litre Z car costs the same or less than the current 370, even if it has somewhere in the region of 400hp. Personally I think Nissan will give the new Z significantly less than 400hp (maybe 370hp?), leaving themselves with room for successive power hikes, as the years go by. Hope I'm wrong.

As nice as that would be, look at all of the "power hikes" they gave the Z34 in 8 years. Lol. I wish i could be more optimistic, but...

True, but you only have to go back to the Z33 - 350z in 2003/4, which started at 279hp and gradually crept up to 313hp, by 2007/8. I like it when Nissan do that to their engines.

All these articles say that the top of the line will potentially be 55k. When I made this thread I was hinting at 60k. I think I guessed well

Nissan has one shot left with me.. if the car isn't up to par with competition I'm going to make the jump to the Cayman. A good friend is a dealer and has already told me when I was ready to make the move he has a nice GT4 Cayman.

Dude... no lie... the Cayman GT4 is one of my favorite sports cars of all time. I got to sit in one at my Father-In-Law's Porsche show (he has a 911 Turbo), and I was immediately hooked. I might have hurt his feelings when I told him I liked it more than the 911 as far as seating position and styling goes.

Went and test drive the GT4 and holly sh*t balls Bateman.. that thing is sick... but after speaking with the wife I'm going to hold off and see what Nissan comes out with. My buddy told me that it won't be an issue to find another Cayman later on. I'm a die hard Z fan.. I'm keeping my options open to see if Nissan comes through.

He quoted me on a 2016 GT4 with 1,300 miles on it for $77k after doing some research it's a pretty good deal.
