Does no one care to discuss how the car at my dealer is WRECKED?
And how Nissan has zero timeline how long it will take to fix it? Or how a brand new limited edition car who people are willing to pay big bucks for will be fixed by a local USA dealership? I've talked with all my car friends. Their opinion is all the same. This car is junk. Markup GONE, at best. Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk |

As far as pricing, I am with you, the cars markup is gone. In the end, it's still a proto spec, so the likelihood of them getting MSRP is high. |

Also, has this particular Z been sold or still for sale? If sold, shame on the buyer. If still for sale, why? It's an incomplete product and who would want to pay MSRP (or more) for an unfinished/damaged product? I just find it hard to believe that Nissan wouldn't want to fix ASAP so they can get this off their books, as with any inventory. And what's wrong with getting repairs at a local USA dealership? Do you plan on shipping your car to Japan for each repair? BTW, not sure if this has been brought up, but apparently, the new Z is not the Z35 and shares the same chassis code with the 370Z :icon18: |

I’m not a big bmw Supra fan, but I will say I like the Supra more so far, and I’m a big Nissan z car guy. Sad, but I’m glad they at least built it. 2 door sports cars that are sub 100k are going the way of the dodo bird. Nissan is so retarded, if they’d spent the cash to release this in say 2016or so, with $$ being essentially free back then with extremely low interest rates and soaring economy, they would’ve sold out all of them. Instead, they dicked around for a decade and timed the economy perfectly just like in 2009. I think we can thank good ol Carlos Gohen for that one, le cost cutter was to busy lining his pockets. |

The new Z, different strokes for different folks, and I just can't bring myself to liking it, even a bit. It seems like Nissan was in a rush to bring a new product to the table to keep up with competition and just half-@$$ed the whole thing. I will give Carlos credit on reviving the GTR. |

Supra = overstyled kit car looking with a ripped off BMW underbelly and inside. Z = understyled boring fat retro with a ripped off Nissan underbelly and inside. Unfortunately, both cars got here that way because of money woes. So they are what they are. Better than nothing for sure, but far from what could have been if economic times were different. It is what it is. I'll stick with my 370Z. Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk |
Looks like this thread is dying and so will the 400z. If we dont like it who will?. I also thought it was going to cost much much more than predicted.I also stated that many dealers would have a small or no units to sell in the USA. i also said that the dealers were going be pigs in the pen regarding $$. So i am glad i built small air-conditioned corner in my hangar and put my 370Zs on ice for 2022 . It is going to be fun watching what happens . Hope you all are doing well.

The black paint on the rear hatch is mindless transition. There is no natural line flow to the car to say "that makes sense." It has a physical bump to it that you can feel. It just looks contrived and unnatural.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...daf35cf0e2.jpg

Hard to see in pics but the yellow paint on the black A pillar is a different color. Fitment isn't great either.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...da6eb527d7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a897af9a8f.jpg

I really don't like the lines or shape of the diffuser. It simply doesn't fit the rest of the car. I think someone from the Honda Civic crew got assigned that part of the car.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c6a259e426.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...451a158226.jpg

These pics show part of the reason this car looks big and bulky to me. The entire side of the car is basically flat. It no longer has the old "telephone" wheel flares. I like the 370 much more from this angle.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5b7c0e0492.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...fed3e66bdf.jpg

Not sure I like or dislike the 3rd brake light implementation. Its kinda hidden which is good. But it also looks like an afterthought add on part.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8ff485bdc2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...14e5f584bc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5057e30693.jpg

I spent less than the down payment I had set aside for the new Z this past week on this gem, and honestly? I think I made the right choice. Been 5 years on Christmas since someone hit me in my last one and the moment I test drove it, I was reminded what a great platform the 370Z is despite its age. I wish Nissan and the new Z the best on recovering from this mess of a launch. I don't hate the new car and would own it as it sits as long as there aren't sketchy issues with it, but for now, this babe will reside in my garage. Holla to anyone around the Knoxville, TN area!

Who's gonna be a first to take a dremel to the rear bumper and cut out that ugly black void? I met a few people who did that to their 370z and it looked awesome, seeing into all the guts of the car
Considering how tall that black part of the rear bumper is, it would give people a lot to look at |
