Also, none of the other cars listed come in anywhere near 3000-3100 pounds. Just saying. |
it's easy as 2+2 = 4... the less you sell of a car the less they will care about it. the more you sell the more it will be re-touched and get new things to it. (unless you enter super car territory)
198 pages of nothing but straight shiat, no one knows if there will or will not be another z. if you are looking for more fun and have the funds; a) boost your z or b) get a different car waiting on the redbull to kick in :rofl2: |
So much waywardly driven opinion and over speculation it's unreal. Lol. You guys are hysterical!!!
What can be built is not being built by Nissan. It's being built by Kia. Alfa Romeo and even kinda sorta Toyota. Damn. Did I just say that? Nissan is washed the fvck up. They can't get over the fact that 1. We hate CVT in anything MEANT FOR SPORTS. 2. We hate FULL Electric steering 3. We hate electric e brakes. We love the VR engine. We love analog sports cars that are both powerful and light. But NISSAN DOESNT GIVE A FVCK!!!! They want EV' s and pansymobiles. The GTR is there so people think they're in the closet reading out magazine. Nissan Mangina's don't know how to come out the closet and say the rogue is what they feel a sports car should be. GET OVER IT!! |

Sadly I think you're right or on the right track. There hasn't even been a hint or even some wild rumor in forever about another Z. Maybe it's time to hang up the pipe dream of a new Z with the VR TT in it. On the bright side plenty of good cars from other companies to choose from currently. |

Actually the Z is not the only car Nissan messed up. All the cars and suvs sharing our FM platform and VQ power train are long overdue. The Infiniti Q70 (M series) and QX70 (FX series) were debuted in 2009. The QX50 (EX series) was in 2007. Both QXs are luxury suvs and supposed to be the highest priority in today's market if they want to make profit and increase market share. Nissan chose to do nothing.

Truthfully, I would have had the same response you just did had I not recently driven one. The damn thing is fun, and not a ton slower than a Z... mainly because it's roughly 900lbs lighter on average. It is definitely a whole lot better looking now than it ever has been. It still looks like you've seen one up close if you own a miata..... Think about it lol |

Go to a Nashville Cars and Coffee, and there are just as many C7 Z06s as there are Altimas up there. |

People kept getting better and better options (in their opinion) and the Z would change damn near nothing. It's not that people weren't buying, it's that Nissan wasn't paying attention to their target audiences wants while other car companies slid in and took over. Nissan essentially abandoned the Z. Don't blame the people for this. |

**** interior or not, the Evo has incredible Recaro seats, 2 piece Brembo brakes, MacPherson Struts, a torque vectoring AWD system, and a DCT all for under 40k. Which is still my point. Yeah the car doesn't weigh 3100lbs but it's a 4 door economy car with AWD lol. You guys are making some strange excuses for why Nissan can't, or excuse me, won't improve this car. I would love to see what you bean counters on here actually believe is possible. |

- It has a design that is somewhat childish and lacks appeal beyond a certain demographic. - It's based on a lancer and unless you're a car nerd it's viewed as one. - Said crappy interior. The design is nice and simple, but there's hard plastic everywhere. MR is way better than the GSR. I was shocked by how appalling the GSR interior is. - Same issue as the Z in so far as it started getting left behind in performance capabilities (stock form of course) and the market place for fun sporty cars became a lot more competitive. Mitsu, like Nissan, essentially abandoned the car and didn't iterate to keep up, leaving people to go elsewhere. I'm fairly certain the reason it didn't sell well is NOT because it had things like brembos, recaros, DCTs, etc. |
Same in toronto. Park far away. Come back and I'm sammich between a Bentley and m4..
Lots more luxury segment here than the the entry car. Minus the twins. Tons of those out. |

It's because the pop on Toronto is mostly Asians and middle eastern oil sheiks lol |

2018 BMW M4 Facelift spotted, to be unveiled in March
The last few bimmer came out in 2007. Our cars in 2009. The bimmer was redesigned in 2014. We look pretty much the same. In 2017. The new gen M4 is already being refreshed. Still no Z. I can't believe cars are on double rotation and Nissan doesn't have the courtesy of saying.... No we're not making a Z. I might get that Supra as a coupe. Praying it's more analog than digital like the 86 but with more power. I'm just gonna follow the Supra. |

Well they do care about the customers, it's just that the Z is a very small portion of their customer base. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Everyone and their mother drives a bimmer.... although I scoff at 328s. It's 335/340 or bust! |

Just for kicks, I used Nissan's Live chat on thier website and asked about any plans or news on the next gen Z, and they responded with no info or news and recommened me to look at the 2017 model.. :ugh2: With this type of info I don't expect seeing a new Z for 2018 or any other year any time soon. I'm guessing Nissan is expecting us to turn to Infinity for future performace cars. Which I'm not going to cough up extra $$$ just for a different Nissan Motors badge. On top of that we all these new turbo engines and manufactures like Kia and Hyundai coming out with cheap cars that can either outperform the Z or at lease come close, maybe it's just me, but that crap really gets under my skin and drives me nuts. Meanwhile Nissan is just sitting around with thier thumbs up thier ..... |

Here's some more news!! even Dodge is stepping up the game in a huge way!! They just announced that they are making the Deamon challenger and charger! More HP then the Hellcat!!
BUT WAIT THERES MORE! If you read the artical they are now selling the 707HP Hellcat for $60k!! Yes that's the same price as the Q60 RedSport that only has 400HP.. Again I state Nissan is dead.. http://www.motortrend.com/news/2018-...lcat-steroids/ |

so at what point of the year the lack of news will spell doom for a 2018 z (regardless of price)
I don't think I am willing to run my current car till 19 on the hope they will put something out that I can A) afford and B) be willing to drive. |

It does exist...
Jay Leno visits the Nissan design studio for a 1st look at the next Z
Kinda weird that I cannot locate the video. I remember watching it a few years back. Check out the top right image, definitely not a Z34. I think this is the only glimmer of hope for the Z35 that I can find "on the net". http://www.drivingenthusiast.net/sec...drawings-2.jpg |
Yeah, that was a pretty good show. I don't really care about the next Z anymore, to be honest. I looked forward to our car's successor for the longest time, but now, I don't really care. In fact, I drive my old E39 540i or my wife's F30 320i more than the Z. Unless the next Z costs below $60K, has leading man good looks, and packing around 400 hp, my next car will be a German mid-size luxury sedan. Passing all these "affordable sports cars" on the Autobahn in a sedan or even a station wagon is very satisfying. Pretty sure I'm just getting old.
