8500 USD over sticker. lol. msrp is already overpriced for this thing
EDIT: so something like 61500 USD. 80k CAD. For a chassis that cost 35k CAD(27k USD) new (sport model) in 2020. Truly an insane price lol |
To go with his C8 Corvette. Wonder where his is in Indiana?

Also, I'm surprised no one is commenting on the dyno results. Those are some great numbers. My desire for the car has completely died, but gotta give credit where it's due. |
Lets see some dyno numbers on 93oct or e85. IDGAF about race fuel #'s.

Nissan Z GT4 Race Car Unveiled

Interesting to see worse skid pad and braking distance numbers on the Z Performance with stiffer suspension and bigger diameter brakes as opposed to the 370Z Sport package.

price of new and used cars will come down next year when the recession hit... And the supply chain situation will likely to be improved by then.

As a 5 year owner of a 2017 M2 and 6 year owner of a 2013 Sport Z (sold 6 months after M2 purchase) both manuals. I’ll give my opinions of the shifter and clutch.
First the shifter. The M2 has longer shifts, feels rubbery and is a bit notchy. The Z’s, is not perfect either, but it is shorter and while notchy as well, feels more bolt action like. However, comparing them both to my sons Type R. The Type R wins. It’s short, precise and very bolt action like. Clutch. The M2 is long and light, but comes up a little to high. However, it is easy to find the pick up point, the length of the grab area (sorry don’t know the proper term) is just right. With hill stop, light clutch, easy and nice grab area. It is the easiest manual I’ve ever driven. The Z’s clutch pedal travel is shorter, slightly heavier and the pick up point is slightly higher. However the grab point on the Z is very short. I never needed hill stop on the Z, even on some major inclines, however it’s really a cool feature to have. The Type R, has a pedal, whose weight is in between that of the M2 & Z, the shortest pedal travel, nice pick up point and grab area, plus hill stop. No doubt the best of all 3 cars. But going back to M2 & Z, I have rarely ever mis-shifted or killed the engine on a start on both. And while they both aren’t as good as the Type R, I prefer the M2 manual slightly over the Z. |
Got me a WHITE Z proto for list price!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0ef85c05ad.jpg

the only thing special about the proto is the colour and mattel got it wrong. lol

I just like how round 2 is white. My 370Z is white so I'm more than a little biased to which color is my favorite. Wink wink. Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk |
I think white is one of the few colors, that goes with a black roof.

Why isn't anyone here talking about the new Z auto trans recall? I'm not on the new forum because I'm not buying one. Is there a new thread here about it? I guess I just figured all converstion about that car was here in this thread.

My dealer has a proto in stock but it's not currently for sale. I'm going to go look at it after work tonight.

Okay, got some more info.
My dealer got his a while ago. Before the sell stop in August. I think the delivery date was 8/21 but that's just my memory. Forgot to take a picture of it written on the car. Maybe I'll go back Saturday and look again. Car is an automatic, so they can't sell it. BUT, there is another problem. The front got smashed in during delivery! Crap. I hate to see that on anyone's car, let alone a brand new Z. Perhaps the first wrecked Proto Z in the world? They have a buyer from Chicago (I'm in Southwest Ohio) who put their $20k over sticker asking price down. He was willing to take delivery as is, but because of the stop sell and the damage, with zero knowledge of when they can fix it, Nissan made the dealer give the guy his money back. Dealer says who the frack knows. It could be 6 months before its fixed. It's been sitting outside in the weather now so long that the battery was dead and couldn't open the doors. May take a few posts but I'll send some pics.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0f01463984.jpg Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk |

Next closest dealer in KY supposedly wants $50k over sticker. Ridiculous.

So yeah, now I've seen it in person.
WARNING: Opinions to follow which new Z lovers may not like. Don't read if you can't handle my completely useless opinions. Asthetics are opinions, so take it or leave it. Love me or hate me. Unfortunately I couldn't DRIVE it, so these opinons are looks only. Its a good looking car, but nowhere near great looking. As I said before, the guy on the other forum saying it's the sexiest car on the road is just trying to justify paying over sticker. Its DEFINITELY NOT the sexiest car on the road. Its smooth and nice, but its not something that really jumps or pops. It does not make my penis twitch. Its 10 steps behind the 370 easy. The Supra is over styled gimmicky. This Z is understyled boring. Girls will never even notice this thing. They will like it, but they will never go "WOW! Look at THAT!" Compared to the 370, it LOOKS BIG, even though its not really bigger. The lack of the 370 telephone wheel flares, lack of 370 nose dip, and lack of 370 rear roundedness makes it look FAT. It just looks big and bloated in comparison. The 370 looks like a something Porsche might make front engine. The Z went for Austin Martin and failed. Its a car for people who don't own a 370. Not an upgrade. All opinions based on looks of a car with protective film still on it. But I hate the gold wheels and I'm big on proportions. This car is absolutely not something I will switch to. Faster 0-60 means not for me. And I greatly fear the electronic power steering until I actually drive it. The 370Z is better for me by a long shot. Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk |
Forgot 4 comments. Its the first sports car for me that doesn't look better in person than in pics. What you see in pics is what you get.
And build quality was questionable. The fitment gaps were off and uneven, and the rear side window trim already looked and felt like dried up vinyl. 2 tone paint switch on the A pillar and tail gate are contrived, like on the Toyota Camery. Worse on the A piller. Black roof was not as hateful as I thought it would look. But as I said the contrived start and stop lines aren't good. Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk |
The people paying 50k over have never driven a z34,much less an even mildly tuned one
|
I, myself, am NOT a fan of the new Z. I tried to like it, but it's just not for me. The new Z just seems more boxy/square and I prefer the curves of the 350Z/370Z.

It's gonna be cheaper to make fast than a 370z. As speed shops have already proven.
That's about the only upside I see at this point. You want a 9sec car, cost ya about $10k (maybe less) vs $80k in a built 370z. |
considering mods only, not base price of the car. maybe cheaper to make fast in a straight line (who cares)
but not when considering the price of the car itself. and then then 400z weight disadvantage and identical suspension means it will likely not be faster around a track. even with 400hp it barely beats a stock 370z. https://capture.dropbox.com/ug7w2MSBPe2ihTFz?raw=1 |
What I want to know. Can you fit big meaty tires under the new Z like the 370? Asking for a friend.
