Dual racing stripe?!! Did I miss something?
|
Passion Red is now $1695? That's a huge price increase almost 2.5x. I paid $750 Canadian for mine.

Yet another thing I'm not a fan of. Racing strips that is. Never seen a street car that didn't look better without them. JMO. But hey, at least they are an option. Can you imagine if Nissan said if you want the white car it must come with red racing strips, AND charge more for like, like they are doing with the black roof. Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk |

Best bet for a C7 is a used C7 Grand Sport within the $45k to $55K range with less than 40k miles typically. New Manual Supra tho.....:excited: |

But $90 would kill my bank account, and paying extra for interior options that increased with material cost and inflation simply won't do. They better comp their 2009 price model or they'll never move one. I shouldn't have to add the disclaimer that this is all said in sarcasm, but just in case my humor's a bit too dry for some. ;) |

I spoke with a local Nissan dealership earlier today and even tho they don’t know when it’ll be released, the salesman said all Nissan Dealerships will have ONE on their lot but it’s basically a display only, no test drives. He is guessing around Fall for that one to be around. So, what’s the point in that? I seen it in person at the car show in February…totally stupid if you ask me, but I understand not everyone went to the car shows.

We went through this entire process in 2005 when it came time to order my wife's Pontiac Solstice. Talk about a hot commodity. Much like when the C8 first came out. This new Z car will not have nearly the hype surrounding those 2 cars. My suggestion would be to wait until production year 2 and buy one then for 3 grand under sticker. **** dealerships. time for them to go the way of the dinosaurs.

Needs a black roof. Just saying...:stirthepot:

But it does look better without that stupid afterthought straight edge spoiler. Cleaner without it. And I like the color. Too bad Nissan paint quality typically sucks. Looks way better without the black roof. Stirthepot. Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk |

Not worth discussing.

That rosewood color is on point :yum:

That is pretty nice. I would have been tempted to go for my first ever red car with the Passion Red Tricoat. It looks close to Soul Red. |
I love it, but!! I would want to keep my FI exhaust and 2014 Sport wheels/tires...
As far as paint goes - a clearbra on the entire hood / front bumper was well worth it Quote:

But I'll lay it out with the plus sides only. All JMO of course. New Z - Faster - 9 Speed auto - More electronic gadgets - 2 center arm rest cup holders - Exact same upper body shape as 370 Z (front window, A pillars, side windows, B pillers, with same slope to rear hatch) - New car warranty 370 Z - Better looking body (subjective) - Shorter - Better looking wheels (less subjective) - Better sex appeal for picking up chics (easily) - Better looking steering wheel (by far) - No "forced down our throat and more costly 2 tone paint schemes" - More reliable engine (fact) - Old school hydraulic steering assist (more sports car feel) - Hard to believe but stock exhaust actaully sounds better (subjective) - Less electronic gadgets - Better 5 tiered pricing structure with Nismo option - Will be a classic desired car in the future, only second to the original 240 Z That's what I can think of at the moment. How would you feel paying $55k for a new Z only to get beat by the old NA one with some boltons on it :stirthepot:
According to this site: https://calculator.academy/whp-to-hp...tor/#f1p1|f2p0 400hp is only 340whp. Most of us with basic boltons and tune are 10 or less whp away from that already and we weigh less. Edit: Unless the new Z comes out with underrated hp of course.:eekdance: |

I could really get on board with the new Z styling if this were production models, sans park bench wing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5M2cDnOFFc

Changed my mind and got a sweet deal on a yellow Z Proto today.
Still hate the black roof. Stir Pot.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0b40c466b0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2ea0b2e396.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...10ddf48e72.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2d77ec1e52.jpg Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk |

huh, they're offering the 57CR Clubsports that were (formerly) exclusive to Z1
everything in that catalog can be purchased cheaper outside the dealership |
Those wheels might be great for performace and or racing because they are light, but they are ugly as hell. Black makes it worse. I wouldn't give 2 cents for those things, let alone put them on my car.
Different strokes for different folks. And why is a guy on the other forum surprised about a cargo cover? We have been told the interior in back is 100% the same as the 370Z, so why WOULDN'T a cargo cover be available. They can just keep making the same one as before. That looks terrible IMO. Maybe I’m just biased, I can’t wait to see what FI does.
