Interesting....
https://jalopnik.com/2023-nissan-z-i...370-1848849717 Comparatively speaking, the power to weight ratio is improved, but not a fan of making the Z heavier. |

Guessing that extra 200lbs is from all the body filler they're using to convert the 370z into just Z :icon14: |
i had tags on this thread?

You're forgetting one major problem with that, The VQ37 has no torque haha. |

Hope that isn’t photoshop. I dig British racing green on most cars and that looks pretty similar Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks like it's going to a private collection judging by the badass Plymouth which is on the same trailer. :yum:
Maybe they're movie set cars, since its California.. next FnF movie perhaps? |
U.S. Pricing Possibly Leaked in 2023 Nissan Z Review: $40K Base, $50K Performance, $53K Proto

First shot with a 370Z in the same frame.
If you woke me up from a 20 year coma, and showed me this photo, funky 50th livery aside, I would be hard pressed to tell you which model was the 'newest' model. https://i.postimg.cc/y81gyPB2/Comparison.png |

Overall breakdown seemed to be great power at the price point, definitely upgrade over the last Z, more “old school” sports car than what is coming lately and in the future and is a good thing. That was my take anyway. Looks great in that blue and the red/black interior is growing in me. Now I wait for a few model updates…. |
The base is gonna be the sweet spot for sure. Car is growing on me, though I think the 370 is still a better looking car.

Yup agreed. 10k more for the performance is too much. You can do wheels/tires, a proper LSD, and an akebono brake upgrade for less than the 10k extra you’d pay for the performance spec. And those upgrades to the base will outperform the performance model anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Just spent the last four hours watching reviews and all I can say is... it’s a POS, don’t anyone buy one! :::cough::: until after I get mine :::cough::: :yum:

The lies they pitched to Doug here (and he can tell)
Start at 19:55 They literally told him the outlet is there for a radar detector? The traction control button... The parking brake.... More reasons why you don't want to buy this car. At all. ;) |

IMHO, if it doesn’t excite me on first impression, I’m not going to be persuaded by any reviews…… I just don’t like the looks of the new Z.

Side note, I think it's funny how all the cons Doug mentioned for the new Z were all the things I had fixed/improved on my 370. Makes me feel proud lol |

So, after watching way too many videos....
I’m leaning towards the Auto. I’m kinda burnt on the rowing gears thing after 50+ years. I know this is one of the major selling points of this car, but after looking at the performance of the manual? Meh.... I guess what I’m saying is “been there, done that”. I TOTALLY get why today’s yute wants a manual. I’m just thinking I’m getting to be that age... Back in the day when I walked 4 miles to school, in the snow, uphill, both ways, a manual was really all you had. Unless you wanted a slush box, which really was that bad! I still have fond memories of my 1980 ZX with a five speed and I can’t really believe I’m thinking of crossing over to the dark side, but... PS: Get off my lawn!!! |

most of the videos i watched said the auto was pretty terrible, especially compared the fantastic ZF in the direct competitor.
EDIT: actually now that i look for it, i can't find which videos ragged on the auto, but there were at least 2 that said it shifted pretty slowly. |

One review was a full second behind in 0-60 with the manual. Maybe it’s just not having enough time with a clutch? My wife knows how to drive a manual but refuses to. Pretty sure she’d drive it if it was an auto, but that’s not something I care to entertain. |
The more I see reviews on the Z - and the fact that most of the reviews against the Supra have come back unfavorable to the Z - makes me wonder if there will be wild markups on the car (maybe I'm just being naive). As for the manual vs the auto - I can see why someone would want to switch - i would probably lean more toward the manual bc we all know the day will be here sooner rather than later that they all disappear.
Right now - I'm kinda on the fence - for 'sh!ts and grins' I put in my car to see what Carvana would give me - wow the prices have dropped haha (I only added like 6k miles since last time I checked) and they came back with an offer of $23k - so that really makes me think that keeping the current Z is the smart move for me - but being a car enthusiast - do we ever make 'smart' decisions when it comes to cars |

All the talk of pricing over on the other forum. Its really not much different than with the 370 (higher of course), only that Nissan has reduced options.
370 Base 30k Sport $3500? (I forget exactly) Touring $4500 Sport + Touring $8000. Z Base 40k Sport + Touring $10000. They have changed the marketing names, raised the price for 13 years later, and are making people buy the touring package stuff. Definitely a step backwards in terms of options to buy. Also, I guess it must be different around the world, but anyone who paid sticker price for 370Z in Southwest Ohio got ripped off. When the sticker for my 2012 Sport was about $37,500 (give or take), I paid $34,500. Nissan could hardly give Zs away. Contrary to what people might say here, the 370Z was not a great seller for Nissan. Sales of the 370 pailed in comparison to the 350 (the 350 sold more cars in it's first year than the 370 managed to sell in its first 4 years COMBINED. I don't see this new Z doing much better. Maybe the first year or 2, but after that, I'm pretty sure there will be heavy discounts and people buying them at dealer invoice. Of course only time will tell. Z at Home Depot

Just spotted this at Home Depot today. I wish the spot next to it was available so I could've snapped a pic with mine. I personally feel it needs a body kit. Too plain of a look.
