Another interesting nugget in Nissan’s Canadian trademark filing is a reference to the logo being used with “Electrically-assisted land vehicles...” |

That's not a new Z logo at all. It's the old Z logo, used on the 240-260-280's. It seems to fit with the report that the next redesign will take some cues from the 240Z's.

Anybody read Forbes? He didn't seem to state his source [sigh], but I'll post the article anyway:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/peterly.../#60a209b2af41 So if Nissan does to the 370Z like they did with the Frontier with an engine replacement, it might be slightly promising. Throw in an interior refresh, then we're talking. If the brand new model is going to be some sort of hybrid and drops the manual transmission I plan to just get the last remaining model before it goes completely EOL. Time to put some money in the bank. |

"An updated Nismo-spec Z, developed by Nissan’s in-house racing and customizing arm, which was added to the lineup in 2017, employed a tweaked V6 generating 350hp." |
Well with all the fearmongering going I wouldn't expect a new Z and gtr for a while.

The 2021 Z will have the engine from the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport- 3.0L V6 twin turbo, probably tuned so it would have a bit more than the Q60 Red Sport's 400hp. Hopefully a manual would be available. It wouldn't have the new 3.8L V6 non-turbo engine that the Frontier is getting which was designed for trucks.

At this point, instead of waiting for the all new Z car
I’m really contemplating a used GTR. |

Also, not sure if you guys have seen some of the concepts, but I basically hate all the ones floating around which doesn't give me much hope. Hoping they're all fabbed. |

Still not a new Z. Just an overhaul piece-mealing a bunch of other model parts together. Looks like it will be a bastardized version of a Z :( Hopefully it will at least be fun to :driving: |
Nah... nah... nah... see... If that's the new Z, then what's this Z?
https://www.motor1.com/news/409498/n...s-car-details/ Those lines are so sleek, design so sexy! Oh lawdy, wtf is that!!:icon14::facepalm: Should be called the new Pulsar NX. :icon17: |
Need a lot more postings in this thread so that it locks.

And yet for each new article over the past 5 years, there's always somebody that thinks they're the first to uncover the next new Z. Yeah, where's that test mule???? What happened to that bs?? :icon17: |

Im not sure why you took any of those comments personally. The way i read them, nothing was directed at you. What a lot of us find entertaining is the constant 'new Z' articles the media generates. I mean, how many more are we going to see? They've cried wolf way too many times. And now with Nissan seemingly in financial difficulty, any talk of the new Z is that much more unbelievable. Of course, we all hope they do offer a new Z, but it's more of a we'll believe it when we see it situation at this point. |
