Look closely at the man behind the wheel - he's not just any old member of the public. Also, it's highly unlikely that a private owner would make their car look like that one. It's absolutely a test mule. I remember ten years ago, the 370z test mule was a 350z shell wrapped in matt black too, with the Nissan badges removed. All too similar for it not to be the real McCoy. One thing is certain - the final car won't look much like the 370z, but it will have styling cues that ensure we know it's a Z - they always do. Only 700ish sleeps to go, till it's in the showrooms. |

If it was out there "competing with the Supra" as claimed, why is it still on the 370Z chassis? Shouldn't it be a little further along in development to make any claims in that regard?
I guess a possible argument for development process is all the front bumper ducts that aren't hooked up. You can see the wiper fluid reservoir on the passenger side. It's also possible that some dude just used a hole saw to cut a bunch of holes in his front bumper for additional cooling without hooking up any ducting. |

Why is it so hard to believe this could be legit? The source of the pictures seems to also have some direct info that this was a Nissan car and that they were bench marking a new Supra. If some dude just decided to make that up, the others that reported it fact would have found out. I could believe it’s a private track car I guess but there are private track cars there all the time. The source must have known this different. The timing of this seems right too. We’ve heard for years Nissan is developing a new car. Sure they’ve stopped/started but now that they started again, it’s not hard to believe they’d be far enough to test the power train. Listen, I know this could be another false alarm but, maybe it’s legit this time. I’m cautiously hopeful. I’m sure we’ll get more info soon if it’s legit.

I ain't through with you by a damn sight. I'ma get medieval on your ***. Butch : I meant what now between me and you? Marsellus : Oh, that what now. I tell you what now between me and you. There is no me and you. Not no more. |

Or maybe the new chassis is a lot like the FM except lighter and stronger, so they were still able to transfer parts? Or maybe they're testing mechanicals in the subpar frame first? B4 they move it over? We're not engineers mang. But that car is a mule. |

looks like we all cant convince each other whose wrong here, so only time will tell.

I wish that car was a test mule. But from blowing the pictures up and having a good look at them. It's just a guy doing a track day. I counted 3 GoPro's on the outside and 2 inside. The guy's helmet has a sticker on the side of it that says "Race Taxi". The guy's face makes him look to be in his early 20's. The front bumper has a ton of stone chips in it. The chin spoiler is beat up. The holes in the bumper has mesh behind them and is zip tied into place. If it was a test mule. It wouldn't have Nissan stuck on the sides. And the car would be in better shape over all. Plus the driver wouldn't look like he just came out of diapers.

Au contraire mon frère. Im already convinced who's wrong here. :icon17: |
I don’t get why some are so negative about the possibility of this being legit. I could understand if pictures had been posted a few times in the past of supposed test mules that turned out to be bogus but I don’t thank that’s the case. Why jump on folks that choose to be hopeful? We’re all Z car fans here so let’s just chill and see what happens.

There's just times when it's all speculation. But then you see Nissans systematic habits unfold. I just remember history. And im.almost sure this is it. Especially since next year the Q60 refresh is due as well as the maximas run is almost up. When did the 370z drop? During those changes. Except now its backwards. Q60 update and maxima redesign. What did the 370z test mule look like? I'm not full of myself.... I'm just observing this shyt for what it is.... You dont see me facepalming any of your comments or putting down your thoughts. Yall come at me with talks of slappin me n face palms. But whatever.... I really DGAF. Balls are big on the internet, small in life. I'm just sayin. That's the mule n all the signs are showing it. Oh and a report said a couple years ago the Z would drop after the juke and a new car will drop on a modular chassis. Well the new juke dropped. |

Not necessarily negative, just "reality". |

You are not observing anything, if you had like the rest of us did when this lie came out you would not be banging the test mule drum. Did you try zooming in on the car like some of us did and see all the evidence that is just some dude having a track day. 5 go pros, ring taxi sticker on dudes helmet, bumper and lip beat to chit. All the evidence is there. You just want a new Z so bad you are willing to believe anything any fool puts on the internet. I won't. |

 |
The other thing that make ZERO sense IF this was a mule. Why would they take it to the Ring? They have their own private proving grounds in AZ.
So they could either test out new parts in house, with pits and factory mechanics at the ready or ship it to Germany. See how none of this makes any sense whatsoever. |
