I find your posts amusing. One day I will say more.

I don’t know if what Chubbs says will pan out but it sounds plausible enough to me. My father owned a Nissan dealership for a long time. I know they would show mock-ups to customers in the US before locking in designs so not a stretch if they did it now. If they do make a new Z, they’d be smart to get feedback to insure they launch something that people want to buy. We can all hope he turns out to be right.

Mine's a base model. I can't afford all that extra hp. I hear the hp increase over the base model is going from 18 hp in the Z34 Nismo to a 23 hp increase in the Z35 Nismo :driving:

Some jerk made this render...
It looks like a crackhead version of the gripZ coupe render. But cartoonish. I'll take the rims but eff everything else.
If its a mix between the 240 throwback render? And the gripZ coupe? Cool. If it's this retarded version? Nah...

There seems to be a trend with all the companies... Mustang is a crossover and other models are expected under the mustang name. Which is dumb.
The camaro and blazer are actually sharing identical relationships as a family...
Nissan has this Grip Z plus hopefully we have a coupe.

Maybe this is the only way they can justify building coupes without losing money? The Z is already on a truck chassis (FM platform) but with new modular tech. Maybe they can truly make the vehicles feel totally different? I dunno? But you guys get me right??

To ZS-Carpenter: Your comment is the get-out-clause of a coward. Pretending to be hard, but leaving yourself an escape route for when you run (as you will).

To Spooler: Eat fewer burgers.

To xfrgtr: You are the contemporary Bard of Avon. :icon23:

To Rusty: Yours is the only sensible, half-intelligent comment of the four that quoted me. To answer your question, the next thing I shall 'come up with' is a big, fat, "Told You So'. My keyboard fingers are quivering in anticipation.

By the way, I agree with the recent posters - that render in blue is the normal load of bollox we see at times like this.

ps - hopefully this post will help you pass a bit of time until you see the new Z.

Hello pot. Meet kettle. You've yet to make a legitimate comment that could be backed up or even stood on down the road. You hem and haw and hedge your comments so that when the Z does finally come out you can shout it from the mountain top that you said it first. Even though you really haven't said anything at all

FWIW, I actually spoke with Nissan Corporate yesterday and they said they've never heard of you...

You're quite right! But even when they're loud, keyboards aren't too noisy.
I know some Americans can be a little brash, but when you've been a British football (soccer) fan for over 50 years it's only a few actual kicks in the face that mean anything significant.

Anyway, scepticism is a worthy human trait. If people believed everything they were told, you'd have someone like Donald Trump as your Presid...

...oh, hold on a minute.

:p FWIW 'Chubbs' isn't actually my real name. If you really did ask someone in America if they know Chubbs, they'd probably put you down as a bit of a weirdo.

If you re-read my posts I have actually made statements that could be backed up - it's just that I haven't backed them up, so you're well within your rights to disbelieve me.

When the car's revealed, I'll be tempted to tell you more, because I respect your scepticism. I'd be just the same as you, in your position. However, I think I may not post at all at that point, unless it's to correct anyone's errors.

To be honest, I don't have any interest in bragging - I've just been trying to contribute to a thread which is of great interest to me and to fellow Z enthusiasts (or obsessives, as I am). If you enjoy spending some of your spare time attacking me, go ahead, it's fine. I'm not here to make enemies.

I'm as keen as the next man to see the new Z - fully intending to get one, which will be my 5th over a period of fifteen years. Hopefully the rumours of a 400hp 3.0l twin turbo will come true, because that's what I want. I'm not some here-today-gone-tomorrow internet troll, I'm a genuine enthusiast who has been on this site since 2009 (I don't post a great deal here, because I'm over the ocean from you).

Finally, to your claim that I haven't seen anything at all... ... ...

This thread started March of 15. Been a lot written about the new Z35. None of it has been true. Just a bunch of wishing on a star. He's just another one in a long line of people saying it's coming next auto show. And it never does. Guys are tired of it. You going to say something now. You better be able to back it up. Like the test mule. That was a short lived story on the net. Lasted something like a week if that. If it was true. We would still be talking about. That story was only to gain viewers for those websites. I've got nothing against chubbs personally. Just when he says something. Back it up. That's all. None of this a friends cousin's wife's, uncle's, grandfather's, brother, nephew told me stuff.

We have a chubbs on the Power Wagon forum too.

I understand the frustration. I think it’s likely that what Chubbs and others have reported here over the years is or was true at the time. Think back to the episode of “Leno’s Garage” when Jay was speaking to the people that where working on the next Z. That was not a lie or a planned deception. The issue is that Nissan has been in turmoil. I’d bet their plans for the next Z have stopped/started and changed a few times over the last 5 years and that has delayed launch of a Z35. So what people have posted could have been true at that point. No reason to call people liars. The fact no one is talking about the test mule from a few weeks ago doesn’t mean it wasn’t legit. It just means people aren’t talking about it. If you don’t believe it, fine. No reason to make things personal. We are all here because we love Z’s and hope Nissan continues the line with something great.

Recently both the chief designer and president of Nissan have said the new Z is coming. I’ll check back here again if and when that happens.

Man don't apologize. We're enthusiasts. We follow news, we get excited, some people hear things, some people dont. Sometimes its accurate, sometimes its not.

Just cuz some people mad and they clique up with the same kotex raged emotions about not having solid info on the new Z and they get mad... Your intentions came from a solid place. You dont have a history of trolling or acting out on the forum.

For all intents and purposes, I think what you're saying is true...
Its NISSAN that's bipolar about the Z. So what you heard can now be outdated cuz now they decided to restructure or stall the project.

Nissan is who frustrates us...
Nobody should be getting so mad at one member they're on a 3 page rant just cuz u have 3rd party in information. At best all that needs to be said is, I dont trust that... I'll believe it when I see it. And done.

As for the test mule, j think it was either an engine or suspension test. Not a chassis test. So that's why I think that could've been a mule. Cuz early tests of those parts are often seen in an older car. My middle finger to anyone mad cuz my intuition kicked in.

Does it mean a Z will come out?
No...
It just means they're doing a performance check on parts they plan to use if they go thru with it.

WE ALL LOVE THE Z HERE.

Let's not ride people over faith or lack thereof, of information.

Happy Holidays to all and hoping we get some true azz solid Z news for the holiday!!!
