Moved the Z from one garage to the other, spring cleaning time! Garage was filthy after winter.

Engine oil change for Morbid370Z and engine and transmission oil change for enrique_370 at JARblue's friendly neighborhood garage this morning

That was followed by lunch with Mr. Morbid and Ms. Pint :yum: Lunch also included an interesting crappy parker encounter that is documented in the crappy parking thread.

I have already heard back that Mr. Enrique is very pleased with the Redline upgrade in his MT :driving

I started the junkmans and paint correction/protection on the drivers side.

Yeah it's a 2015 but it's has some apparent micro scratches in the clear coat on some of the panels. Dirt seems to get in them and really shows up on the pearl white paint.

I clayed it, used the Meguiars 105 ultra cut compound and then Meguiars 205 ultra polish both with The Porter Cable 7424XP. Once done with the whole car I will use Hi Temp Terminator sealant. It came out nice. Shines better than the untreated panels which is good considering the car is basically brand new and should shine pretty good already.

Also dressed the tires with Optibond tire gel. I like that stuff.

Louise and I went on a four hour cruise (back roads) from home to the Catoctin Mountains (hills) and Hunting Creek Lake. Did not take the path to Cunningham Falls though. Just walked around. Stopped for dinner in Old Town Fredrick at Olives for dinner.

Rusty 04-18-2015 09:18 PM

Did my first trackday of the year. :D :driving: The first two sessions. Thought that I was driving a tank. That's what it fell like. :icon14: Had alot of cobbwebs to clear out of my head. The last two sessions, things started to come together. :happydance:

Went to a couple of car meets, met some cool people, and had fun with a beast! R32 fully redone with GTR motor and all Attachment 102548

CoralZ 04-19-2015 08:38 AM

It's good stuff. Doesn't make the tires look wet but just makes them look black like they should.

Here you go. Think I was the slow thing out there. Had alot of Porsches, a few Spec Miatas, and a couple racecars in my group. Hate those spec miatas. Pass them down the straight, to only have them pass you on the brakes through the turn. :shakes head:

Man I really need to get an oil cooler and hit the track this year!

Spooler 04-19-2015 09:10 PM

Well, another weekend with rain. I give. I would have washed the Nismo in the rain but we had a Tornado watch and some good lightning going on. Plus I feel like crap. High stress jobs suck but you get paid decent.

been looking at tires all day. Going to pick some up by this summer.

Just debating whether to get new wheels with the tires or just tires for now...

BC416 04-20-2015 03:10 PM

Ordered some K&N Drop-Ins and a GTR start button. I was a little hesitant at first about the start button but I figured I'd give it a shot and just remove it if I don't like it.

FairladyZ10PG 04-20-2015 03:24 PM

Scheduled an appointment to take my front bumper to the shop to finally get repaired and repainted

The CF canard will also be getting a new coat of clear :)

how could you not like a red start button? :icon08:

jpkirk 04-20-2015 03:50 PM

Hmmm

The color red and the word start just don't seem to go together.

Ramage 04-20-2015 08:18 PM

Had a choice today, run the Boston marathon in the rain or drive the Z.
It sure is nice having dry sneakers...

Not that I didn't like it, just thought our factory one was fine the way it was. I installed it last night and I gotta say it doesn't look as "gaudy" as I though it would. I like it!

Also, holy hell were my airboxes filled with crap. :eekdance:

I must have removed like 5 lbs of leaves and a plastic wrapper from them while swapping out the filters.

I'm not a big fan of the red :twocents:

So I made my own

Memphis370Z 04-21-2015 04:21 PM

Took the day off and installed my CBE. I couldn't spend a lot of money, so ended up with the Garageline exhaust and am very happy with it. It sounds good, and is exactly what I was hoping for regarding tone and loudness.

I like it. Makes perfect sense.

Since this past weekend I have given the Z it's first wash. Went over the entire car removing adhesive spots from the plastic paint wrap while in shipping. Goo gone does the trick very well. Applied some Meguires mist and wipe to clean the paint. Now in the process of the first wax job. I already have paint chips on the front bumper with only 600 miles on the car. Time to get some touch up paint.

Clearbra asap if u can free up the $$$. My biggest regret is not splurging on it.

kenchan 04-22-2015 06:10 PM

yah, clearbra is one item i will definitely not not do on all future cars.

my post has a knot.. :ugh:
