Well yesterday was ported upper and lower intake. today, installed the temporary garageline/Nixon exhaust. looks nice. Way too quiet!

aszyd 09-29-2014 08:10 PM

Started the process for my collision repair. Hopefully everything will work out as I discussed with the manager and I will come away from this with a painted, debadged, 2015 Nismo front and rear. I guess I need to start looking into the side skirts.

Did the driver door today and actually took a few pictures. Little arts and craft in the right places and good to go!

Took about 2.5 from start to finish. Tomorrow is passenger side.

DOOR! :ugh2:

Man I had trouble figuring out what that was. All I saw was arts and crafts. Skipped right over where it said "DOOR!" What I get for skimming.

yea singular too =( hopefully it's not pouring outside tonight and i'll proceed to attack the passenger door. I didn't go for super full coverage just get 95%. Using my make-shift roller to flatten/even out the big open parts and a rounded edge of scissors or a handle to get into the nooks and crannies. Some parts were hand pressed like behind the window motor. Not sure of the effects yet... wanted to get the other door done first.

I had to wash the rear window just to see out. My car is filthy. A bit of rain and holy cow, it happened quickly.

dang you trying to make a luxury car out of your down-to-basics-sports car? :D it's not going to be a "Z" if you add too much luxury. :icon17:

I did nothing with my Z's today for two reasons.

1. I am Minnesota.

2. My cars are trapped due to my new driveway...

I like to view the Z as a moldable glove... comes with essentially bare-bones and you make it how you want... I just wanted a bit quieter ride while cruising because next year is going to be spent majority of it crusing through road trips across the province/country. LOL I know i know... G's are a lot more luxorious and refined but I actually enjoy doing this stuff. Trying to make this more of a grand-tourismo style car with the balls.

LOL The neighborhood walkers keep commenting. Last night's comment was 'he's taking his car apart now?' lol most of the hood doesn't care for their cars aside from taking it in to the stealerships for service.

you should do a lift-kit, slap on some dirt tires, and start entering your Z into rally-cross events! :happydance:

I'd have a severe anxiety attack if my cars were held hostage like that. But I'm sure the new driveway will make it worthwhile!

Filled her up with gas (to take advantage of my Chase cards 5% cash back) and drove to Target last night

Yesterday was the most I have driven my Z in awhile, felt good to be back in the saddle!

Now you can bank each months payment. Perhaps your next car can be paid up front.

It is unconscionable for you to leave us hanging like that. Inquiring minds and all that, eh?

Took a drive up the expressway to get some PR food and after my flan/espresso combo for dessert... I was speeding a bit more than usual and got up to 90 on the 417 for sec. I wish I could just drive all day... it's in the 70s in Florida! Woot!
