Went a local car show this morning, got there pretty Early so I killed some taking a few pics and watching my sons football game. Also saw one of my dream cars today for the first time on the street, Saleen S7.

I'm gonna have to get up there this year. Beat my bike times haha.

SurfDog 05-04-2015 05:14 AM

After 60k miles, my roof windshield and front bumper are beat (I 3M'ed the hood and fenders thank god)

Body shop today for fresh paint on roof, new windshield and after long consideration a new OEM 09 front end with fangs! (I just can't get into the stillen...)

Shes going to look good as new!

Z randomly decided it wanted to be rev happy coming from 2nd to N by bouncing between 2-3k even though I don't have SRM. Oh Nissan.....you so silly

kenchan 05-04-2015 01:08 PM

JC- your nismo looks so much better than that lifted saleen with wrong offset wheels and tire sidewall thickness... :ugh:

im sure the saleen driver was like 'damn, if my ventilator of a car looked as hot as that nismo JC's got!'

Today I left my Z at home due to rain - because yesterday afternoon I cleaned all the bugs off of it and gave it a nice wipe-down to remove the dust from about 500 miles of driving.

SurfDog 05-04-2015 02:09 PM

I just ordered some of these
http://www.z1motorsports.com/g37_/po...470&imageNum=1

From Z1. I'm looking forward to playing with toe in at the track (and losing some bump steer)

BC416 05-04-2015 02:16 PM

My hood looks green from all the dust/pollen in the air this season. I need to carry around a duster or something - it looks horrible.

One good third gear pull should just about blow that dust into a sneezy memory!!

Nah... I managed to maneuver within my lane and just barely catch it with my front driver tire. It went flying off onto the shoulder out of harm's way and there was no visible damage to car or wheel

I actually did an oil change on a Z with Zspeed shroud a couple weekends ago and it was a mess. The opening is tiny and just barely overhangs the drip from the drain plug. Granted, we did the change on two jack stands instead of four (just being lazy I guess), so the car was tilted back to where the oil ran down the oil pan further back and dripped onto the Zspeed undershroud. But my OEM shroud has significantly more room with just the flap lowered (4 bolts) and works fine regardless of whether I use two or four jack stands. But the Zspeed one looks so :yum:!!

Yep! If they would have had more, I would have bought them, but they only had two. For some reason Advance Auto Parts had them on their clearance table.

I work for AAP, and they are not going to carry the gallon speed shine. Another thing to watch for, wrong prices on the larger bottles of Griots. Sometimes they have the 35 ounce bottles for a few bucks over the 21.... I got both gallons my store had, and I had gotten a bottle of waterless car wash for cheap

The weird thing was that they had quite a few Griot's items on this clearance rack. I didn't figure they would discount that brand. When the guy at the register checked the prices, the gallon was several dollars cheaper than the next smallest size of Speed Shine. I really just kind of lucked out!

Worked on the NOS remote bottle opener. Hope to get the warmer done tomorrow.

Spooler 05-05-2015 09:59 PM

Had to take the ride back to the alignment shop today. I noticed some wear on the outer sides of the rear. Looked at the alignment sheet and they had the toe in set to the max acceptable level. Not good.

I'd suggest getting some QD and a few microfiber towels in the trunk. I've read and seen the damage tree sap does so I'm speculating the polen may be just as bad if let sit.

Or if a bird decides to crap on your car. Or bugs... or encountering a wild puddle that is super effective at making a few panels dirty.

Or you can be like me and go home and wash the car :happydance:
