Or you can be like me and go home and wash the car :happydance:

I've had the Griots Speed Shine Kit sitting in my Amazon wish list for a while now - time to order it up! :tiphat:

I finally got around to installing my twin Saikou Michi catch cans.
I still have to re-route the lines under the intake for a cleaner look but it's pretty much done.

also changed from k&n's over to some ams dry flow with injen HydroShield.

I live less than 3 1/2 miles from my office but being such a gorgeous morning, I took a 30 mile ocean and twisty valley commute. Then to finish it off, wrote my 1,000 post on 370z.com :happydance:

Memphis370Z 05-07-2015 04:07 PM

Turned 39,000 on the odometer today. I've put about 5,000 miles on her since my purchase in September. Love my Z even more now than I did then.

It's this kind of logic that makes me wonder why there are so many 370Z's with low mileage :icon08: :driving:

I took my 370 to a client site today in Napa -- I had a nice, and much-needed, spirited drive.

Brad Edwards 05-08-2015 10:52 AM

The 370z is sitting warm in the garage and staying out of the rain we are having in So Cal today.

Scheduled an appointment on Monday for Austin Z Clinic to write up a work order for transmission replacement under warranty since my 5th and 6th gear synchros are grinding.

Nice :) But I'm kind of glad Nissan is not doing the work. I have 100K mile warranty through my credit union. And no deductible

Well ... yesterday, wash and wax in prep for fun Saturday at the autox

Today will pull all the loose stuff from the car, put it in a bag and load up for tomorrows fun.

:driving:

BC416 05-08-2015 12:43 PM

Will most likely hit 16,000 miles on my ride home. Going to get all this pollen washed off in prep for our first local Z meet of the year tomorrow morning.

Silly Rabbit 05-08-2015 01:11 PM

Funky noise coming from the front end after bottoming out in a parking lot pot hole. Looked around last night and didn't see anything obvious, will have to get the wheels off and take a better look.

Bshields22 05-08-2015 01:48 PM

My Z is not my DD. Decided to take it out today after not driving it for a little over 2 weeks. Didn't check the weather foracast.....its currently raining on a perfectly detailed Z... i guess i have an excuse to spend some quality time detailing it again.

When life gives you lemons...keep the receipt for store credit....:happydance:

I live close to Diamond Head and my office is next to the Ala Moana shopping center. My route was going back east through Kalanianaole Hwy, past Hanauma Bay, Sandy Beach, Makapuu, Waimanalo, then 13 Turns in Maunawili Valley, up through the Pali and then down through the Old Pali Road and back to my office. It's a great drive and think I'll do it monthly when I don't have to be in the office early. :driving:

Didn't want to say it earlier, but I thought it sounded like a bb in a paint can or a plinko machine. Hard to replicate, but decided it was the right side. Pulled the wheel and everything looked good. Humm, then something caught my eye. A broken bolt laying in the undertray right by the power steering. This is what I fished out. I suspect it is a broken demon bolt from when I had a shop remove the OEM cats. Odd thing, I tried to fish it out with my magnet and it isn't magnetic. It believe it is 10mm. Any idea where this may have come from if it wasn't a demon bolt? If so, it's been hiding in the engine bay for a few months. Car feels fine, no shimmy, vibration or pull. I guess hitting the pot hole shock it loose from where it was hiding?

FairladyZ10PG 05-08-2015 04:49 PM

dropped my z off at the shop for color match...

My bumper has been at the shop for 2 weeks now...getting repaired and painted...

that's too long if you ask me... not a happy camper!

I dug out my cats and found a perfect match for the other part of the bolt. It's not magnetic either. Mystery solved.

Glad you found the source of the noise and could account for the bolt. That would have irritated me, for sure.

Drove around town and looked at myself in the mirror.

ZeroZ34 05-09-2015 10:38 AM

Drove it to work, finally!

Going to go home and wash my Zero today also. Then, if I have time, will return to my shop's parking lot to snap a couple photos for our first Coachella Valley Z team meet that's coming up in a few weeks. I bought a new camera lens so, this will be fun.

squid267 05-09-2015 10:51 AM

Took some pictures of my Z yesterday to test out my Nexus 6 and see how it does. Comments from people on the internet are ridiculous. One guy accused me of cutting people on a road I don't drive on to get to work.

I just detailed mine after a road trip to Vegas! Finally really got to know the car after buying it a couple of months ago.

This cars cruising speed is 90! It just don't like going slower than that! One thing I learned on the trip, cruise control won't let you set it above 90, I tried. :driving:

I also really love that timer function, that's pretty fun to see how much drive time you have vs how long it actually takes to get some where.

Somebody a few posts back asked me to report back on Vegas. You should check out "O" at the Ballagio. Really wild show. There's a bar in the Eifel tower that's pretty awesome too. Make sure you go to Vegas well dressed, 90% of the women are Super Models!

AutoX level 1 school at FedEx field, Washington DC. Large course, the Z drifts nicely, many runs, the Z drifts nicely, ridealongs with instructors, the Z drifts nicely.

Yup, had a good time. VDC off is very fun. the Z drifts nicely. Gnarly sunburn is only downside. Shoulda taken sunscreen.

Did I mention the Z drifts nicely? :driving:

I washed and detailed the interior today. I usually just vacu,e and wipe down the interior but i tried to make the Z an SUV by transporting two big buckets of dirt
t and rock. Let's say the foam in the trunk area doesn't like 50 lbs buckets on top and when I hit the breaks at a stop light I was then sitting underneath a bucket of dirt. Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh. But it looks like brand new now after 2 hrs of vacuuming and taking sh!t apart.

After completing Junkmans video of claying, compounding and polishing the last few weeks, yesterday I sealed the paint with Hi Temps Terminator and the car is sitting curing for 36 hours.

I threw on Nismo Springs yesterday after doing sway bars the week prior. Love the stiffness. Today paint prep/sanding down Abekonos for the Z and touching up a curb mark on my G37.
