Do tell, cuz they are not cheap.

JARblue 12-06-2014 10:43 AM

Broke a couple of bolts on my exhaust in the very first step towards regreasing my rear axle. Heading to the dealer to buy some new hardware now.

edit: they're welded to the exhaust flange, and of course, I don't have proper tools to drill out the bolt

edit2: of course, I should have known the dealership would give me wrong information.

kenchan 12-06-2014 12:40 PM

inspected, checked psi, and turned wheels on my G and Z.. :D

no mice bites. :ugh: or crap on floor...

I love deliveries like this.:happydance:

JARblue 12-06-2014 03:27 PM

Today I broke two exhaust bolts and discovered a separated rear tire during my endeavor to grease the rear axles. Thankfully, the bolts are not welded to the flange as the dealer told me on the phone when I called to see if they had some replacement bolts in stock. I called up Kevin at Austin Z Clinic and drove the car over to him after putting it back together as best I could. He hammered out the old bolts and found me some replacements. I then drove over to nearby Discount Tire (a forum member works there) to see what my best options were for tire replacement. Of course, they have very limited stock of 19s, and the local warehouse is closed on the weekends. It is looking like I'm going to buy some new RE-11s though.

The long and short of the day is NO MORE AXLE CLICK!! :happydance: oh and parking brake is adjusted, too. I may or may not attempt the SS brake line install later this weekend.

Officially over 80k on the speedo. Got a wash, cleaned the exhaust ends, contemplating getting some spats to deter the build up from the headers.

blackcherry20 12-06-2014 05:54 PM

Hmpphhh.
I only get to see the very bottom of Harry's tires right now.

But-I get to see them every time I'm in the garage

:icon17: Harry has over 30k already

Found two rear replacement tires for $50 apiece. Nitto Invos with 6/32 tread. Not bad for emergency tire needs

pL4tiNumfi5t 12-07-2014 12:00 AM

Got some new rubber (265/305) after managing to get 21,741 miles out of my RE-11s. Decided to give the S-04s a try, looking for some more tread life for the daily driver.
A couple items from the BF/Cyber week sales arrived as well..SPL Rear Camber links, Black ZSpeed Engine Splash Shield

enkei2k 12-07-2014 12:44 AM

...like catching a glimpse of the top of a woman's stocking -- that is what it's like to see the Z's tires poking out, ever so enticingly, from the bottom of the its cover. At least for me...
