Taught my teenager how to wash my Z.

The poor kid always needs a few extra bucks ;)

Zoren 370 07-27-2014 11:25 AM

How old is he? Mine is 13
Yeah you gave me a good Idea instead of him being on his xbox the whole day!

About to turn 17. He's now driving my 2004 Toyota Solara that I bought new. Gas money is a new expense for him :D

13 should be just getting to the age where he needs money for girls.

Simple wash, dry, windows cleaning today. Found first highway scar on hood...I'm sure there will be many more...and then it will be time for an AFTER MARKET HOOD!!!

Returned to WDC area from Keyser WV. Visited our Youth Pastor nephew. Great first trip. Got rained on ... over night. Bright and clear Sunday.

Very nice!

I've got dual halos and clear lenses just waiting to be installed. I would have put them in already, but then the accident...

cigarclifford 07-28-2014 12:23 PM

Just returned back to the South Bay Area.. Lake Tahoe and back with nothing
but miles and many smiles.. Added another 400 miles.............:hello:

MadChemist 07-28-2014 12:33 PM

Any chance you could post up more pictures further back, i.e. able to see both headlights illuminated? Looks pretty good so far.

Riptide67 07-28-2014 12:50 PM

It was an awesome week for me! Installed a lot of dress up bolts from the Zspec 260+ piece kit and made the car cleaner than the day it rolled off the assembly line.

The hardwork paid off! Took Hottest Nissan 2nd place at HIN Seattle, I was beaten by a $300k Liberty Walk GT-R. Sunday was followed by a Best Exterior award at a Charity car show for the Seattle Children's Hospital :)

kenchan 07-28-2014 12:52 PM

do those dress up bolts and nuts have the hardness required?

i always wondered this.

srbrubak 07-28-2014 01:00 PM

Today I had the Invidia Gemini CBE put on my Z. Looks good and sounds great to me.

Kenchan, I inspected them upon receiving them and the quality of them is beyond that of the OEM. They are well worth the money and look amazing. Come with instructions for which bolts should be applied with a small amount of mid-grade loctite.

sounds good.

i personally can't tell the hardness just by looking at them so i wondered.. for holding down light stuff im sure they are fine.

It was cold this morning so I turned on seat warmers. Half way to work I opened the window then realized that the warmer was still on. 57 degree summer morning with high humidity in the form of fog.

Great selection with picking the Swift springs. I love my Swift springs and
went the same route.....Many 370Z forum members run with the Swift Springs... What size spacers did you order ?

Don't worry, they are just springs, they bounce.

My apologies as I haven't turned a significant wrench in decades so I'm a bit out of touch, but that looks like a package that my wife would be more excited to receive than I would be :stirthepot:

aszyd 07-28-2014 06:15 PM

Got my car back from the body shop, she's pretty again! Woo!!

Immediately had to take it back because they forgot to add coolant! Boo!!

Luckily, all is well now and she is resting in my garage.

I was asking myself the same question. The car didn't overheat, but it got damn close, and it would cool down if I really got on the throttle. So there may have been some in there, but not enough. I watched the service guy empty a container into it and then take my car back to a bay to add some more. I don;t think the first bottle was full, but still.

:iagree:

Please don't. I've honestly fallen behind the Z times, and am finding it interesting (and sometimes surprising) to see how the parts look for some of the mods that I've been reading about here.

I also received some packages today. A Stillen / Setrab oil cooler, from another member, and some Kelly Fields Hood Struts.

Word from the wise, if you are going to ship a used oil cooler, please make a good effort to drain the old oil and plug the lines before shipping. I'm surprised it made it to my door with how much oil had leaked out.

binary0x01 07-28-2014 11:43 PM

Oil change :)

with the exception of front camber possibly being WAY off, CC and phone call for camber arms NOW! DO It I SAY!

Bananaz 07-29-2014 12:03 AM

I'm lowered on BC coils and my front camber is just barely out of the acceptable range. I'm not slammed but I have no wheel gap.

Changed oil to Pennzoil Platinum today :p Testing out what oil I like best.

LunaZ 07-29-2014 08:04 AM

I pissed of my clutch yesterday.

He should be fine. I had springs lower than Swifts and they were within specs. Did not have to spend on it.

I was way out of spec with just Swifts.
Camber arms are cheaper than a set of RE-11's. :tiphat:
