Finally finished installing my SPL rear diff bushings. Wow that was a pain in the ****. Took me a week because it didn't want to go in very nice but now I am happy as it is tightened everything up back there and I don't have to worry about that shiznit busting again.

Divided into 22 sections for the body, windows, CF cans and tips, wheels, and tire dressing. 4-5 MF towels for the body, two for the windows, and two for the wheels. OCD!

Washed my Z, detailed interior, motored, and played cat and mouse with a Porsche Targa 4S on the way home from a photo shoot with myself. Pics are in my Journal.

This morning getting onto the freeway, I had a small window of opportunity to get from the merge lane to the far left lane. Failing that I would be stuck in slow merge traffic for a while.
So... I punched it & went for it.
Now as you can see from my Sig. I am running straight stock, even still, the growl she made as she pushed me deep into my seat was... satisfying.

jpkirk 08-25-2014 08:49 AM

Driving to work in sunny WDC at 6:00 AM. Still some traffic but not that much. Nice cruise.

Of course, this was on a track, not the street, right? Posting such antics is against forum rules as well as good sense.

I know the feeling... it's just amazing once you floor it above 4k rpm and things start getting silly :rofl2:

definitely watch out for sleepy heads.. i almost got hit by some middle aged woman in a camry cutting into traffic from a parking lot on an early work day. :ugh2:

jpkirk 08-25-2014 10:49 AM

:iagree:

The worst part of the cruise is merging from west 370 to south 270. Merges are crazy around here sometimes. Gotta keep your eyes open. Front and back of the head.

Wow. Mileage flies when you're having lots of fun. She hit 40 k. I must say, she's running way better today than the day I got her.

Nicely played on the trip odometer

I have over 55K miles, and I would have to say the same: she's running better than the day I drove her off the lot :driving:

47,500 miles on the 40th... Baby got new shoes over the weekend and today, She will be fitted with Replacement Glass - The Small crack and like so many other crack, grown in size that now something has to be done. So New Windscreen and new Wheels and Tires -

I still can't figure out how to post a picture on this part of the forum. Why can't I just navigate to the picture on my computer, and upload - You can do that when you make a picture Album, but not here. But I am new at this $h!t

When you click the attachment icon (paperclip) you can browse and attach pictures on your computer. If you use the image tag the pictures have to be online.

I prefer to attach images that way they show up as thumbnails instead of a giant pic that whacks out the forum interface when the img button is used.

YMMV.

kenchan 08-26-2014 11:28 AM

my Z turned 5 today. :p

inspired by mishuko's pedobear, i upskirted my Z and G to inspect rear diff bushings for leaks. no leaks found. :D

I agree, if I use the img tag, I try to make sure I've appropriately sized the image for the forum.
