Some people don't deserve to have greasy fingers. Sorry for your asshat yahoo.

wolfesquire 08-28-2014 01:36 PM

Did a "quick" detailing of the car. The got stuck at a red light boxed in and what do I see on the side of the road? A guy cutting the grass. Guess this afternoon, I am cleaning her again.

Punctuation changes everything.

Well, I can now start detailing and getting the backhalf of the car back together. A neighbor came over and assisted with the jack as I held the differential steady. So now the new diff. bushings can go in along with, Fortune coilovers, Whiteline sway, Nismo cover, SPL camber and traction arms along with some other stuff. Looks so empty now.

Ordered Hawk Performance Pluss pads (and some RBF 600 for a nice bleed) to swap in for my hawk ceramics. (going to High Plains Raceway for some laps this week)

I dont love ceramics on the track, but dont love track pads on the street (waaay too dusty) so I spend more time than I'd like up on jack stands in the garrage. :o

You got a Morgan? DAFAQ :tiphat:

Back on topic, vacuumed the interior and also cleaned the interior on mine, long overdue as it was not cleaned since April. Hopefully I will have the energy and enthusiasm to clean the exterior one day.

The new upper pan was only $200, so not too bad, but the week long rental is going to be even more than that. Sigh, stupid cars and their necessity for oil. Hopefully I'll get everything bolted back together this weekend.

GTR Start Button, Map Light Lenses, Weather Tech Mats

5 Attachment(s)
Today I picked up a GTR start button and Map light lenses, install took a total of about 10-15 minutes. Also yesterday my Weather Tech floor mats came in the mail and they fit like a glove! Considering getting the trunk mat in the future. The new map lenses are so clear and crystalline they're a huge improvement with aesthetic and efficiency, and the red GTR start just looks so much more menacing :D

Next project is installing the rear fog light as it was meant to be. I have the part number for the lamp but having trouble finding the SKU for the illuminated fog light switch. If anyone knows let me know! :driving:

The switch is outrageously expensive. Several hundred dollars if I'm not mistaken. Unless you absolutely must have the OEM switch, I would just buy a switch for a few bucks and wire it up yourself. Lots of people have done it, so there's plenty of DIY help on the forum if you search

Wow yeah the light isn't that expensive, but damn that harness and switch is! Might forgo that route altogther.

Thanks for the links, after seeing the process and the price for the switch I'm considering just getting the light and hooking it up with the tail lights so that they go on together. Same effect, I just wont have the separate control which isn't a big big deal since if if visibility is going to be low when using the fog I'm most likely going to have the tail lights on as well.

Thanks again guys, love the support here

I have to wait until Tuesday (Kanadia holiday Monday) to talk to my insurance broker to arrange a replacement. Won't be driving as much next week unfortunately.

On a lighter note my cousins enjoyed a few stabs too.

It's a yearly fee. If you don't pay it: NO more custom plate for you! (read in Soup Nazi's voice).

What app is that? Torque? Looks pretty bad ***.

I had a full day under and around my Z. I replaced the upper oil pan and finished the install of my oil cooler, then bolted everything back together. 6.5qts later and she's back to life! Doesn't look like there are any leaks either.

MACSIMIZER 08-30-2014 09:15 PM

Yes it's the Torque app.

Correct. It's too much per year and I think my plate just encourages men to try to "prove a point" when driving on the highway. :icon17:
