Or are you saying first to go to Post Reply, instead of this Quick Reply???

ok, tht worked beter, but the size needs to be so small, I tried to upload 2 pictures and got a fatal error. So need to re-size everything. Smaller is not always better.

Arrvaxx 08-26-2014 03:58 PM

Put 'er up on jacks and did some pre-drag event prep and looksy.

I swaped out wheels and had hellava time removing one of the Concentric Rings from the right front hub, but new wheels are on

14ZTSport 08-27-2014 10:48 AM

Walked outside and saw that it "sprinkled" last night, apparently more dust than water. Since it's going to thunderstorm tomorrow and Friday, just left it (well, had to use some Invisible Glass on the windows to see), rowed the gears to get a haircut and then home again. It is now all I can do to look out my picture window and NOT do a QD in the 90+ heat, even knowing it would be a fruitless pursuit...then again, it WOULD look GOOD for the rest of today sitting in my driveway!

But the :driving: to and from Sports Clip was :happydance:, even though I picked up one of the usual black and white admirers along the way...he left me alone once he knew I knew he was there :rofl2:. I always chuckle when they follow me as I've been called an OCD rules follower more than once!

Changed the oil (taking that damn plastic undercover off sucks!). 5 quarts of redline later, I'm waiting on Fedex to drop off the Z speed aluminum undershield.

I won't have time to install it before the end of the week, so, hopefully I don't run over anything during my drive from Austin to Memphis Thursday night. :/

Is it really -necessary- to have on the car?

Seems like it would be an aero thing to me. If you are driving long distance at speed, might be better to have it on. And if it rains it will help keep moisture/dirt out of the engine compartment.

Buh. :/

I guess I will buy ramps and install it quick and dirty like before I leave for the trip.

Borrowed a friends garage, jack, ramps, and stands for the oil change this morning.

yes, for bumper rigidity. put the stock one back on before your trip.

On my first out-of-town trip after buying my Z, a dead armadillo suddenly appeared in the middle of my lane about 50 miles south of Memphis. The only alternative I had was to swerve onto a very rough and uneven shoulder. I declined. I was more than glad that undercover was on there as the armadillo attacked!

kenchan 08-27-2014 12:56 PM

we have skunks and racoons and deer and taffyapples. not armadillo's. lol

Yet another morgan post. On hour 38 or so. Engine bay fully sanded down, then cleaned with lacquer thinner. Now has a few coats of rust encapsulator. Next step is a little welding, then primer + Eastwood Chassis black.

I was starting to wonder where it was as I placed my order two weeks ago and never received a status update. I was thrilled today when I saw a long skinny box at my front door.

Prepping for a little cruise to Niagara tomorrow... standard wash/dry/shine the wheels and clean up the inside (all 3 specs of dust that have landed on my dash)

Then probably wash it again or do a QD on the front dependent on how attractive my bumper is them crazy bug.

yah, apparently this dumbarse was never taught anything about respect,

That sounds like foreplay. Better be sure your Z is securely protected at night.
