soxfan, post a video of them is use. Blinkers/hazards

Ghostvette 08-13-2014 04:21 PM

I'm really interested to see if you have any issues with rapid blinking with the LEDs. I've got a complete car set of 7443 style replacement LEDs.

Flybyenature 08-13-2014 05:02 PM

Guys I need help I tried de-badging her today but couldn't get everything off and ended up scratching it up a bit :(
Will a fairlady badge cover this?

I didn't go with leds for the turn signals just for that reason. Don't know if they would rapid blink so went with a chrome bulb, but they shine amber. Check out autolumination.com

Got my weekend projects in today. Seibon spats (thanks Nugen!) and the adapter for my oil temp and press sensors. Fitting the Seibon will be interesting. No template, No tape, No screws... Looks like it's all up to me.

Ouch...a bit too aggressive.

You're gonna have to compound and polish the paint in that section.

maizenblue 08-13-2014 07:45 PM

Dropped the Z off for warranty work, the service advisor told me to park it next to the 270Z. It even said 280z right on the back. Cmon man.

soxfan69 08-13-2014 07:50 PM

Sorry, should have specified. I went with LEDs for the side markers and the chrome turn signals. The turn lights r not as bright as the oem, but I think they make the assembly look clean. My color match paint should b in Sat. Perfect timing to start the next project. Blacking out the headlight assembly:cool:

JARblue 08-14-2014 03:32 AM

A custom grill showed up at my doorstep yesterday evening out of the blue. I did not pay for it, and I am very  But :excited: at the same time

I'll post pics once I get it installed in a few months :ugh: :icon17:

Edit: Mystery solved: apparently, JARblue's Friendly Neighborhood Garage agreed to do 3 complimentary oil changes in exchange for the grill. Thanks, Ms. Pint!! :tiphat:

Seibon? How was the install?

Evo-R spats, I bought them from the for sale thread. I got them installed by my paint/body guy, it wasn't too bad but there were very few adjustments that had to be made to fit the bodylines of the Z.

Whew!

When you get it back, go buy a lottery ticket.

Edit: Adding my own experience today:

In the past 5 weeks, I've been on a two-week long trip and a one-week long trip, both driving my wife's Altima. I bought my Z in March, and the last time I put gas in it was probably at least two months ago.

Now with the background out of the way: I pulled up to a gas pump today and was totally confused when I couldn't find the gas door release on the floor. Fortunately, my wife was with me and "helpfully" reminded me how to open the gas door on the Z. I can't decide if I just need to drive the Z more or if I need a full-time guardian to lead me through life.

Not selling, you couldn't get it away from my cold dead hands....LOL The car needs paint. Working on that. Lots of parts boxes stacked up against the wall. If all goes well, you can see it in person a ZNationals. Let's just say " TRACK DAY!!!!"

while i was having another car serviced and had to call the dealership to ask
how to open the gas door while i was at the pump like 11-12 yrs ago :D hahaha.
