Sad news.... I put the order in for the new wheels just to find out minutes later that they were sold earlier.... I'm a very sad man right now

side note:

I bought the vf1 fenders from aerojacket and received a quote of 1300 with paint and installation :( Looks like they're going to be collecting dust for a few weeks...(bought the ones with CF next to lights).

That's been the only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger on the replica Amuse pieces, the cost to paint. I did find a forum member that had rear bumper, wing and side pieces for sale, that appeared to be Monterey Blue, but he's back east and doesn't want to ship them. :icon14:

Maybe I'll wait a bit and see if he changes his mind, otherwise, I might have to make a trip there and just swap parts before driving home. Hmmmm....

I have the griots 3" polisher and it is great. I also used a PC 7424 for many years. Cant go wrong with either brand.

Today I walked by the 370Z and got in my DD to go to work. :(

I have the Griot's 6". I've only used it once before with some Zanio All in One. Going more in depth this time with M105, M205 and M21. When I was looking at polishers it was between PC, Griot and Meguiar. I found them to be all pretty similar and picked Griot because a deal on Amazon.

mag_black 08-12-2015 08:37 PM

Thanks guys! I read that the Griot is more powerful, not sure if that's something I need?

GT-R push to start (am I cool now guys?) I'm also starting on designing a different type tablet mount to use dash command or Torque.

What a great ride home today, buzzing down the highway for 15 miles with a white 300ZX, a black 350Z and myself. That was fun camaraderie.

birdman71 08-13-2015 04:25 PM

On my way out to lunch, I'd say about 30 minutes ago, I was just cruising down the street not even going over the speed limit lol 43 in a 45 mph zone. And a cambered out ugly looking 350 pulled up next to me and started trying to get me to race.

Let me lay out the scenery for you... Lunch time traffic in the Los Angeles County Area is at times as bad as the freeway traffic at 5pm when everyone's leaving work. Not only that the street we are going down has construction and at points has the whole right lane blocked off.

So he keeps trying to edge me by revving and launching forward a little. At the next point we were sitting next to each other at a stop light, both of us sitting in front. He already had his windows down, but I had my nice a/c on so in turn rolled down my window to ask him some things..

I was like "Got any boost?" and he said "Nah only intakes, rims, camber, tires" and some interior mods that I saw too. He says to me "wanna race?"
I answered him back with a rhetorical question... "Are you stupid?"
He was like "What?! NO What the ****" and then he called me a bad name.. lol

After he called me what he did, I told him "Then if you aren't stupid you would know that street racing is illegal and that my Z would leave yours in the dust if we did race." :owned:

Rolled up my window and he proceeded to speed away trying to look cool all cambered out :wtf2:

FairladyZ10PG 08-13-2015 05:58 PM

^I usually just smile and close my window

Not worth mixing words with them

birdman71 08-13-2015 06:02 PM

I agree and I usually just sit there with my window closed and just stare at them with a straight face to make them feel uncomfortable haha.

I did it this time because it was too obnoxious. He almost hit the person in front of him 5 separate times when he was doing his little launch ahead of me thing. Plus we are already closed down to 2 lanes on the street, didn't want him to be the reason it went down to 1 lane

Spooler 08-13-2015 07:27 PM

New tires today. Gotta wash the car. I have clean prints all over it because it is so nasty. Flipping rain lately has been bad.

lmao, there was a guy in a pt cruiser turbo that was near me on the freeway the other night and it was about 11pm or so and not many people were out there so the avg speed of traffic was like 85 or so.. and I look in my mirror and I see a car trying to haul *** right by me from probably a good 50 yards back and passed me up probably going 105 maybe 110 while I'm just sitting there cruising lol.. probably couldn't go any faster cause of his speed limiter lol :rofl2:

Finally able to wash her yesterday. We need to resolve this drought ASAP though in CA..

Tomorrow, I will be installing my new brakes (rotors/pads/brake lines & fluid) and Evo-R carbon fiber emblems (front & rear).
