RE11's :yum:

luv how they are so progressive when they slip. feels like cheating almost. :icon17:

Mt Tam I am 07-29-2014 10:29 AM

I picked up something in my right rear tire and refilled it with air. I was at 20 lbs. and hope this morning to still have air and get it repaired.

kenchan 07-29-2014 10:30 AM

ouch. :( 99% of the time i pickup a nail or screw or bracket or even scissors :ugh: in my rear tires.

I have to ask...did you run over the scissors or was it vandals? :eekdance:

yah, i ran over those small cuticle scissors in front of a pharmacy. :shakes head:

that actually started the whole chain of wheel swappage events as the local
dumbarse tirestore made a mess with mount marks on my sport 19" wheels
when they patched the tire. :shakes head:

ended up getting the weds and nismos. if it wasnt for that, i would probably
still be running my sport 19's.

kenchan 07-29-2014 11:58 AM

.. not that i dont luv my nismo wheels. :yum:

ZeNato 07-29-2014 12:36 PM

Hit a curb with my Nismo... stupid drains, why they have to put those in the grass. Was pulling into a stall in between 2 parked cars and found out that it was only half a stall! hhhhhh guess I shoulda kept my Carbonsignal front lip on order. :(

kenchan 07-29-2014 01:03 PM

sorry to hear, zenato. :( our cars have terrible visibility in tight space.

My biggest fear since I'll have to replace stock tires with all season radials before late fall...

yah, make sure to call ahead and check to see if they have the touchless mounters.
if they have that, usually you come out with no marks just as long as the tech
doesn't mess up.

also a good idea to remove your weights, clean your barrels, remove
center cap, any centering rings if aftermarket, and your valve caps.

roll them into the store loose so they dont use their impact guns and
scratch up your lug bores.

Find a local outlet for these guys:

Kwicksilver Wheel Repair – Rim Repair & Alloy Wheel Repair Franchise

They fixed a really nasty rash on one of my Rays and I have to work very hard and look at the photo I took of the original damage to find it.

You are correct..A little homework up front saves a lot of heartache. I love my Nismo wheels..

Finally got all my parts on besides the new lugs. Exhaust came in yesterday and was put on today, everything else was put on last week.

Meisterschaft axleback, Swift springs, SPL rear camber arms, Toe bolts, Forgestar F14's. Just need to put on my Muteki lug nuts that came in today. Will probably get project kics next year when I upgrade the wheels.

Not my wheels that i hit a curb with. was perpendicular parking in between 2 cars and didnt see that the space i thought i was pulling into was actually an area for the excess water in the grass to drain into and had a curb occupying half the "parking" space. Picked up some 5 inute epoxy to try and fix the broken mounting tabs on my front bumper so I can attempt to reattach the bottom splash shield.

that's cool. i like how the front and rear wheels have different concavity on those wheels. some folks run wheels with deep concave on the front which makes it look like some AWD car. :ugh:

Lol, interesting concept. I remember back in the day people would run wide rear wheels on their FWD cars. A RWD car mimicking AWD is something else.

IMO, concave everywhere!

LOL that's wat i saw on this vossen wheel'ed accord. i was like WTF mang... just get a REAL coupe. lol :icon17: haha

yah, concave is the shitts right now. :D but no one quite has the concavity
of my WEDS. most of them shy away when the spokes poke slightly past the lip
like the weds do. :D i like to do it like i mean it.

mishuko 07-29-2014 03:01 PM

i only use the wax in my speedshine on my hobby cars these days. :D
why? cause the car is garaged and has plenty of layers of the product
already. water beads like crazy when wet, perfect for qd.

My 370Z Nismo is a daily driver at about 66,000 miles. Hand wax once
a month and it still looks like day one.... Your garaged Z still beading up
water is a sign of a well taken care of Z............

 yah, i use polymer on my dd as it sheets water off vs beading. :D

keeps the rain working to rid dust on my dd's.

mishuko 07-29-2014 04:30 PM

Finished a two day endevor of polishing, paint glaze, then a final coat of wax using griots garage stuff. Total time 7.5 hrs, and I am effing tired. But end result was great I couldn't be more happy!

I know I forgot the tire shine. I realized this when I was already inside and too lazy to take another pic, so I KnOw!!!!

aszyd 07-29-2014 07:56 PM

New rear tires. Hopefully I won't burn them off in two months like the last set.

Mt Tam I am 07-29-2014 10:50 PM

Had tire repaired. It was a good old fashioned nail. I tell you, it felt more like a screw.

soxfan69 07-30-2014 01:54 AM

Ordered my new wheels.. CF5V Forgestars :happydance:

TheGreatOne 07-30-2014 02:05 PM

After 2 years of not being able to use my windshield washers

I bought a new funnel from Nissan to attach to the resevoir

(What happend was after installing my Injen intakes 2 years ago you have to modify the funnel and I cut it too short....never took the tiem to do it)

So got that done and changed my filters since the bumper was off....productive day.

not surprised, to be honest, I don't even think its necessary lol.

I love to look on some other motorists faces when I drive by in heavy rain and my wipers are off. I did an Aquapel (like Rain-x) treatment over a year ago and that rain just flies off, love it.

Z is just so aerodynamic...rain stands no chance :icon17:
