Maybe turning the two oak trees into firewood had something to do with it.

oil change. finally got my hands on the new pennzoil ultra plat 10w-30. 10w30 because it has a super low NOACK value, and slightly thicker 30 weight at 100C. should be better on the track, and it never gets cold in california anyway.

also got a JDM order in last week. 5 sets of ARC cool fins! attached 2.5 of them to the oil pan. they really do seem to work as they were insanely hot to the touch after applying them to the hot oil pan.

Drove Harry to work. Taking a chance on the 30% chance for rain.

Guess what?!

:icon17:

Yepp. It rained on me. And more importantly: it rained on Harry!!! :icon14:

Oh well. Lots of you guys drive your Zs as a dd so I guess a bit of rain and road muck won't hurt Harry either :tiphat:

my car melts in the rain.. :ugh:

i douced my a-pillar in nero the other day in hopes that the scratches that the smogcheck guy made last year would appear less visible. :ugh:

i think it actually worked. i can only see the scratches from one angle which most
people (like me and maybe my kid) wont even bother to look at from. like who the hell looks at the bottom of the
rockers and complain the car is dirty? :icon17: :ugh2:

I don't look at them because I know they are typically the dirtiest part of the car. Plus it takes a lot of effort. But I clean them every time I wash

Where did you buy these. Might be interesting to try. RHDJapan is the first hit on google at 2138 Yen. Just wondering.

What happened? Was the car lifted incorrectly that caused the rockers to pop out?

Few bucks for some VHT tape or something to hold it in place? Not sure if the thickness of the tape would cause it to not be flush.

Too much money to put in to narrow that big of a gap. How about using U channel or U mold trim. They make white ones for boats. Just an idea. For the fenders, try foam sheet to shim it outward when you screw them back in.

Nope, this is how they look fully installed. Granted the double sided 3m tape may not have been enough or thick enough on the top. But even when it's pushed into place, you can feel it trying to stretch from the rear part and it can't because it's FRP.

I'm going to try a thicker tape next week. I also don't know if the passenger side was damaged when taken off by the previous owner.

Good morning everyone!

Sad because I'm currently in the process of trying to sell my Z...

Happy because it's replaced by a GT-R:driving:

:tiphat: Those U channels I suggested are discrete (white) and work great to clear gaps. They are used on boats so it is perfect for door jambs. It is rare for FRP Skirts to have perfect, OEM quality fit so creativity goes a long way. Yes not too creative to the point caulking is used - that's just weird. No carpenters allowed in the body shop.

Masterbeatty 07-17-2014 09:39 AM

I parked at a different building today for work, 9 out of ten people walking by my Z now are suffering with chronic neck problems. Today also marks the first day driving my precious Z in four days due to horrible rain and thunder storms.

Morbid370Z 07-17-2014 10:47 AM

Installed Z1 post-maf tubes and AFE filters. Is it just me or were those a paint in the arse to wedge into place?

Worth it though!
