That's what I did... One might say that I had the wrong tools for the job. I couldn't compress the new springs far enough to get them mounted onto the shocks. I ended up having to take them to a shop for that part.

Krazy.1K 07-10-2014 01:01 PM

Took me about 1hr 20min to remove the two springs from the shocks, no air tools.

Bought one too waiting for santa to drop it on my front door again!
Do you need to take down the front bumper to install this?

My paint guy installed it for me and he did not remove the front bumper, and it's a pretty good fit!

Zoren 370 07-10-2014 07:17 PM

Did he use rivets or screws with double sided tapes?

Drove it to lunch with an old co-worker and run through a few gears on the way home. Probably be the only time I drive it this weekend. Bad weather in the forecast.

Krazy.1K 07-11-2014 06:08 PM

km1346 07-11-2014 06:20 PM

Put on some CF B-Pillars today!

Z1NONLY 07-11-2014 07:59 PM

Started prepping my car for STU over the past couple months:

New rear subframe with Whiteline bushings.

Kinetix A-arms (modified for more negative camber)

And yesterday, I mounted new tires on new-to-me wheels: 275/35-18 Rivals and 18X10.5 +15 RPF1's

http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps07e2a513.jpg

Custom valved/sleeved shocks + much stiffer springs, and HP is all that's left.

Well, I also need to remove my 10W6, custom MDF enclosure, and big JL amps.

I'm going to miss the heavy sub/enclosure, but I bet that and the amps total somewhere between 60-80 lbs.

It looks funny to me.

Fuzzzy 07-12-2014 03:42 PM

Some people just don't understand how difficult it is to detail a car while standing on your head.

I put the short-throw in on Friday. Everything feels different. Based on when I did it to my '09, not really, I couldn't tell a difference. I'm just glad to have some good, clean oil in there. I'll be at 30k in a few months, so it's just a couple extra things that I do not need to take care of.
