Bought some new rear tires from a fellow forum member. Will order matching fronts through Discount Tire in the coming weeks :driving:

Oil change is due. Need to get on that this week sometime.

FairladyZ10PG 06-30-2015 04:52 PM

Had an annoying loose bolt sound coming from the rear suspension for the past several weeks. Finally got it tightened and the sound is no more :)

I put a new set of tires on today. I went with a set of Hankook with 285s on the back. I left my car at the tire shop because the tech said it was going to be about 1.5 hrs. At the time, I had the only sports car there. When I returned, there was another sports car waiting to get service, a new convertible Z06 Corvette; 7-speed manual, fire engine red  He had a nail in his rear tire and the rears clearly were worn; can you say spirited driving :)

And :bowrofl:

Harry and I took a trip to the post office today.

To pick up 15 baby chicks to add to our already thriving flock.

Really getting comfortable driving Harry. Finally. After three summers of driving.

I love Harry.

Keeping on topic, last night I performed an oil change (Mobil 1 5w30 + Purolator PureOne PL14610), installed arc cool fins on the oil pan, and took some photos to demonstrate how easy the Z1 CSC Elimination Kit adjustment procedure is.

Where did you buy your ARC Cool Fins? I been thinking about this mod.

I bought them from a forum member last September. They're like $20 apiece plus shipping from Japan (I have two pieces installed).

Umm... the heat vents up into the engine bay :ugh2: :icon17: I was looking at cutting some into the plastic undershroud. But I probably won't bother. At some point I will purchase the ZSpeed undershroud, which has venting already

onzedge 07-02-2015 11:17 AM

I must indulge -- wash and detail before a couple of days of sleep...

I ignore the water shortage.

Besides, I figure it takes only about 7 gallons...

Be interested in hearing if you notice a difference. They seem to get mixed reviews. I don't expect oil cooler performance but 5 degrees might be the difference.

ShutokuZ 07-02-2015 01:04 PM

Screw the water shortage here in SoCal. That is why I am moving back to HI! No shortage of water there! Lol

As do I. Well one nosy one -- the rest are cool...

I usually wash my cars right in the driveway for all to see. I am usually only home 2 or 3 days per week due to travel and our water usage is very very low.

I had a tree-hugging, Hillary-supporting, self-righteous, Birkenstock-wearing, leftist who reeked of patchouli oil actually walk up my driveway one day (while I was washing) and he started to lecture me about water. I held my hand up and told him he was trespassing and that I would not tell him a second time. He kept jabbering away so I turned the hose on him. I guess that was better than shooting him and even though I'd be doing society at large a favor, this is CA and I'd be writing this from jail now.

Today, I got all new tires installed. Pulled the trigger on getting the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Fronts are 245/35/20 and the rears are 275/35/20.
