I removed the trunk lid ballast weight-damper (used the DIY section for instructions) and the spare tire; I had to be a bit creative since the car has a Bose subwoofer.

Spare tire weighs ~34 lbs and the trunk lid ballast weight-damper weighs ~3 lbs. Total weight removed was 37 lbs.

Motordyne M370 Manifold
Berk Hi Flo Cats
HKS Hi-Power Exhaust

Happy New Year

Went in for a touch up on my tune and got an extra 5 whp. Also got much better response for acceleration in 3rd and 4th. Accelerates like a completely different and new car. Very happy with JTran in Houston.

Why the sad face tho? I never understood this about people who own really nice cars. You should be happy that you had the experience of driving 28k worth of road with your Z. Every mile I drive is a milestone for me. I guess it depends on the person...some family, friends and people who judged me would never have thought that I'd be this successful and this car reminds me almost every second of my life.

I don't mean to derail the thread or offend you, it's just how I feel about the people who are afraid to drive their Z because of miles.

back on topic:
Taking the Z out after work to school again, shall be fun :) Really need an oil cooler tho! it's starting to get hot out here.

How comes you wash your car inside garage?

Masterbeatty 05-14-2015 07:40 AM

Drove my Z to work today for the first time in a week! I love the way my exhaust sounds next to the center median, music to my ears.

Zero,

No offense taken, and I bought the car with 16k on the clock and in 8 months I'm up to 28k. :happydance::driving: Like a madman lol, and I loved every single mile...i'll love it even more after my FI Exhaust comes in tho. :D

AH. No, actually I washed it in a Car Wash Bay @ my friends's Apartment. The Detailing equipment is inside the Garage, Car Wash will be on Driveway of my house(this weekend hopefully).

kenchan 05-14-2015 09:42 AM

hell if my village allowed drain inside the garage id wash my car in the garage.

jmayz 05-14-2015 09:54 AM

I always wash mine in the drive way, but pull it into the garage to dry it. If you get the sun off the car it doesn't spot as easy.

I've had mine 3 weeks. Already put 500 miles on it. Don't feel ashamed one bit. I'll baby the girl every chance she's parked. SHe will be washed, fine dined, loved, and kissed. But I have zero hesitation to run her past 7k rpm while taking tight corners trying to make the rear end swing like a semi jackknifing across a 7 lane highway.

Haboob 05-14-2015 10:44 AM

Still haven't bathed her. I think it's been since early March? Every time I think about it, it rains within two days...

She's filthy. :(

It tried to rain last night, not sure if it's going to stick around - maybe I'll wash her this weekend.

Oh, and I just rolled over 49,000 miles. They haven't been all fun though - most of my miles have been to and from work, in traffic, and going slow. :(

Traffic and long commutes has made me hate driving. :crying:

March?!? :roflpuke2:

I think the last wax I gave her was August, and the last wash was in January :wtf2:

And rain in AZ? Skeptical ... :icon08:

kenchan 05-14-2015 11:07 AM

my last Z wash was 5yrs ago.. :ugh:

but my Z is spotless :p

Uxi 05-14-2015 11:09 AM

Went to redline on 1st and 2nd and was trying 3rd but didn't want a speeding ticket. Almost to 1500 miles (1495 and change).

Haha. I know, it's been odd. Usually we're in triple digits right now, but it's been 80-90, then rain will come in and cool us down to 70.

That's going to come to an abrupt end here soon though, I think.

Gotta love climate change though. :ugh2:

:icon17: We recently got enough rain to bring Texas out of the "Exceptional Drought" category (worst of 5 categories) for the first time in several years

I saw your article on FB.

And I saw that Houston is flooding too.

Enjoy! :icon17:

I did clean my windows at the gas station last night, trying to provoke the storm clouds, but they didn't open up to clean off my car.

So now I have clean front and rear windows, but an otherwise dirty car. :icon17:

I did that on a test drive of a silver Nismo but not mine. :D Nice long straightaway was almost to redline but then noticed I was doing 100 on a city road.

kenchan 05-14-2015 11:25 AM

yah, definitely need to watch out on the speed in the Z. car feels like it's going 25mph when she's actually doing 55.

I need to clean out my garage. Too much crap in it that I don't use. Then I could dry, wax, general detail, and other stuff on the car in the garage.

I can park it in there, but that's about it.

i have two taffyapple bins in there (recycle and trash) but i can still do a full detail on my G and Z in my garage if needed. :p

but if i didn't have them taffyapple bins in there, that would mean i could keep 2 sets of wheels in my garage. that's how it once was before the village started using them. :ugh:

I did a similar thing on my test drive. I backed out a little under 90 though. It was on an on ramp to the freeway though.
