I bought a left over '07 Honda VFR in '08. After breaking engine in. Put it on a dyno to see how much power it made before I started with the mods.
 The numbers were LOW. Couldn't figure out why. The bike seems like it ran nice. No flat spots in the power band. I decided to look around. Found a mice nest on top of the air filter. Found 3 dead mice in there too.

At least you found it! Some people would go 50k before finding it. I flagged a guy over in NV in AUG last year. His whole radiator intake opening on his car was covered by a big plastic bag, it was only 107 degrees that day.
