Desperately in need of wheels

Terrible, sucky situation for anyone but glad you found some wheels for now. 1. Good that you yelled at the mgmt for towing your car. There's no reason they couldn't

1. Good that you yelled at the mgmt for towing your car. There's no reason they couldn't contact you, they had all the information they needed and it's not like you never parked there before and it was an unfamiliar car.
2. Have your insurance pay for any obvious damage from towing or when they jacked your car up to take its wheels. It's hard to find who caused the damage, the thieves, the tow company, or a speed bump at some other time. Important thing is to get it repaired correctly and completely.
3. Get a car alarm with a tilt sensor! Wheel locks only keep the honest people honest. Park in well lit spaces when possible. Turn your front wheels all the way to the left or right so the can't get them off.

There are a few ways to properly tow a car without wheels the most effective being a dolly and a standard tow truck.

Ouch. Sorry to hear. There is a pretty good following in the SouthEast forum in the Florida thread. Im sure a few of the central florida members would have been willing to lend you 4 spare tires.

I'd also keep an eye on Craigslist. But I willing to bet your wheels are now sitting on another nissan in Kissimmee, since I hear thats where all the stolen cars in Orlando end up.

My heart broke when I see this thread

I would punch the **** manager in the face for towing the car without wheels. Your car was registered and they should call you before towing the car. Make them pay for the towing, and try to ask for a total loss. Just imagine that they drag the car on the ground to get it to the tow truck makes me sick.

This. Never thought about doing this. What a great idea! I will be doing this when I park in a public area overnight.

I thought this was a great idea too, but don't the post mid-year 2011 cars not have a steering lock mechanism, therefore you can literally turn the wheel by grabbing the tire?

And even then, anyone who actually has an ESCL should have the fuse pulled so it doesn't fail and leave them stranded I've never tried turning the wheel like that with the tires on the ground. I'm sure it's difficult but not impossible.

Right but it's just an added form of protection. Just like wheel locks. A real thief will get what he wants regardless!
