So we've decided to ignore the break-in procedure in the manual?

And if you're so upset about the 7at, why did you buy it?

It's not the 70's. Break-in procedures are simply antiquated. Most high-performance engines are run to redline before they are even installed in the cars at the factory. (A mass-produced engine like the VQ is probably not however)

I'll follow the instructions in the manual, thanks. My guess would be that there's a reason they put them in there. "How to break in an engine" is a debate that will never die.

I don't understand what kind of advice you're looking for.... The best advice I have for you is to stop using double negatives.

The public school system seems to have failed this poor fellow.

back on topic: if you're having fun why are you complaining about the transmission? Your post is full of inconsistencies. "I never go over 6500 rpm" followed by "hit that mark 2x" lol. Stop worrying about driving hard and fast. Just have fun and stay in school.

I tracked my 7AT at Sebring without problems and redlined it a ton since adding a supercharger so I don't think you are going to hurt it stock.

I was there on the 3rd with Chin. Black, 2013 stock 370(except pads), and goofy looking guy in tan shorts and black Bell sa10 helmet. You might have zoomed past me too fast to notice. LOL.

Why the need to always insinuate that people are dumb? Im sure the school system has done its job, we all know how shitty the school system is anyways?
Im sure if you werent a car enthusiast and you lacked knowledge on what the norm is and whats not im sure you would want to ask as well. Is hitting 6500 rpm high well if the maximum is X then maybe you should go near the X due to it meaning your redlining which means your pushing the engine that much harder? And OP locally i shift no higher than 3500rpm, when yielding out onto a highway/freeway/w.e elseway i usually shift around 6k.

It's not the questions he's asking, it's how he's asking them. Internet forums are places where we communicate by writing. You dont have to post a masters thesis, but you do have to write in such a manner as to be understood. It's not a text message to your buddies. The better we understand the question, the more effort well put into answering it.

And if the redline is set at 7500 rpm from the factory, there is no issue whatsoever running up to it on a regular basis.
