OK maybe this is a question for another thread and I know everyone has their opinion but should I replace the whole pumpkin or just the diff and gears if

OK maybe this is a question for another thread and I know everyone has their opinion but should I replace the whole pumpkin or just the diff and gears if I wanna swap gears and diff? I Know a good bit about gears and power transfer but not so much z specific. I called around to a few local tranny places and a nissan performance shop here in town and no one would even open the case to swap to 4.08 gears because they would need way too many specialized tools. Any direction on this would be much appreciated!
