I believe escort sells a laser jammer/detector but that cost over 1k and requires installation and removal of bumper plus interior panels.

Laser Interceptor also sells a laser jammer front kit for around $700 or so. You don't HAVE to take off the front bumper and is probably wise to leave it on while mounting the heads so you know they are level (important). I personally have used them and they work great. Good laughs when you see the officer shake the gun and try again (good idea to turn unit off so they can get a reading after you slow down so not to raise too many eyebrows).
I actually gave my radar detector to another forum member because I have no need for one. If I am in the city, I don't speed because people. On the express way if I am just using a RD, I'd be popped with a ticket very fast. If you go this route please see all applicable laws for your state.

700 is a lot better than 1k and change!

Seen a guy etch the display off the escort jammer into his rear view mirror. it was really cool seeing a blue led ghost effect in the mirror when ka k pop or laser signal showed up. Mounted the power button underneath the steering column. Overall it was a great installation and you couldn't tell it was every installed.

I have the 9500ix in my work truck and the Max in the Z. I speed just about all the time and they have saved me numerous times. The above comments on Laser and Lidar are correct. Your car has already been pegged about 10 times before the detector will detect, and that's only if they raise the gun high enough to be picked up.

Sent while driving!

Had the V1 since I got my first car and the Z is my third car so I will stand by it all day long... However, that being said. I have been pulled over twice or 3 times since I got it ONLY because of lasers, because they are honestly impossible to avoid unless you got lucky and picked up scatter from ahead.

Yep if you are on the road by your lonesome or at "ludicrous speed" any radar detector will not help you against a laser. That being said... I never speed without my V1.

What's new? The "Threat Picture" is looking pretty hot! You can connect it to your phone so you can use your phone as the remote.

In Virginia detectors are illegal so a remote (turns off the obvious lights and gauges on the detector itself) is a must in my opinion. I have the old school one that world work wonderfully if this car had a 12V adapter anywhere near the driver Looks like the remote will have to be velco'd to where I can easily reach it

Cruise control and it is free. Just set it 5mph over and no worries. IF you act silly long enough, you will get caught. It is not like it was back in the 80's and 90's. Cops are everywhere. Back in the day I could do just about whatever I wanted on the back roads. Not anymore. Small towns are terrible and need the money. I refuse to give it to them. Learned my lesson a long time ago. I had a stack of tickets...LOL

I generally don't drive too much over PSL so I don't have to worry too much about cops, but since the Z looks fast sitting still, I've got an Escort Redline just in case/for those times I need to get from A to B a little quicker. Earlier this week I got my best "save" (was only doing about 5 over, on a rural parkway, behind another car). 1.3 miles away, over a hill, sat two state troopers, one with his rear antenna on; Ka 34.4. I crested the hill at a perfectly legal 55

I was debating on getting the Max for my subie now. I'm done with the fully installed route because if the car goes, the detector goes
